You don't need to close RTSS, reread my reply and remove the profile for this game you've created. It doesn't support any hooks and you're causing this crash by creating profile and forcibly enabling hooking for it, it is disabled out of box for FH4 not just for fun.

Ah. Failed to check the comments when i watched the video.
"2. That's expected behavior and result of optimized single pass overlay rendering and graphics primitives batching. All lines are always rendered in a single pass after all text symbols. That won't change."

    Another Question:
What about Margins for Text Boxes? The Graphs can have a margin of 1 Pixel, but Text boxes are always at the corner.

The "Ryzen 9 5900X" and the 0% are on the Corner while the Graph has a 1px margin...

This time i did use search but couldn't find something related to Overlay Editor Margin.

Margin adjustment is only available (and makes sense) for embedded objects.

The first build with initial AMD 6x00 family support is ready. Many useful changes for both AMD and NV GPU owners. MSI Afterburner 4.6.3 beta 5 buil 16041 includes the following changes:

    - AMD Navi 21 GPU architecture support
    - New hybrid automatic software fan control mode. This mode allows you to combine default hardware fan curve and user defined software fan curve and dynamically switch between those two modes on temperature threshold. Such implementation can be useful on the cards with limited software fan control range (on both AMD and NVIDIA hardware) if you wish to use deault hardware fan curve (with active native fan stop technology) in lower temperatre range and use customized software fan curve in higher temperature zone. This is acheived by new option called "Override zero fan speed with hardware curve" option. When this option is enabled, you're telling MSI Afterburner to engage default fan control mode in zero fan speed zone of your custom fan curve.
    - Added "Use firmware control mode" option to software automatic fan control module. This option allows customizing fan curve at GPU firmware level instead of doing it entirely in software, so it doesn't require keeping MSI Afterburner loaded in memory in order to get custom fan curve working. Also this option can be used to bypass various third party issues related to broken fixed fan speed programming API in some display drivers (e.g. Overdrive8 API related screen flickering on some AMD GPUs). New option is only supported on limited set of modern GPUs (Vega and newer AMD GPU families, Ampere and newer NVIDIA GPU families) and it has multipe GPU firmware based limitations such as limited maximum supported number of nodes for the curve (quad slope curve and up to 5 curve nodes on AMD, dual slope curve and up to 3 curve nodes on NVIDIA), lack of step/linear mode switching support, lack of hysteresis adjustment support etc. Please refer to new option context help to get more details.
    - "Erase autosaved startup settings" option is now disabled by default in AMD compatibility properties
    - Process specific memory and videomemory usage performance counters, introduced in the previos beta, are now disabled by default. The counters rely of RTSS, so enabling them will also cause RTSS to be autoloaded with MSI Afterburner similar to the rest RTSS based functionality (such as framerate or frametime monitoring).
    - Improved backward comaptibility, fixed MSI Afterburner crashing when using it with older versions of RTSS without process specific memory and videomemory performance counters support.
    - Fixed monitoring window display in minimized state on the first detach.
    - Updated bundled MSI OC Scanner application. Fake error 22h, which can be reported by NVAPI on early callback function calls, is now supressed and ignored.
    - Unlocked old alternate clock monitoring functionality from original RivaTuner era. Power users may switch to PLL clock monitoring mode instead of default target clock monitoring mode on NVIDIA GPUs
    - RivaTuner Statistics Server has been upgraded to v7.3.0 beta 10

BIG request to sites like Videocardz and ComputerBase, who monitor this thread and constantly launch our development betas to news and making them downloaded massively. Don't you think that we could easily post it in news here, on Guru3D, if we wanted to make development betas available to larger user base? We DO NOT do it to prevent betas from being lauched massively, we intentionally try to provide it to limited user base, who actively read and understand this thread.

Important note of AMD 6800/6900 series support: MSI AB's settings are ignored if you set <Tuning control> to <Preset> mode in Adrenalin control panel. <Tuning control> must be set to <Manual> there in order to allow applying custom GPU settings.

Also, probably some of you noticed it, but we have a bit more of skin magic created by Drerex - AMD Big Navi themed skin. It was also unofficially included in the previous MSI AB beta, be we never documented it. ;)

Either add a space to whichever end you want to indent, or you can further adjust the size of the space by adding the size tags like this:
    Code:
    <S=50> <S>RTX 3090

Exactly what i was looking for! The normal space was way too big. Thanks a lot.

Left is with space Size 25 and margin 1, right is normal.

I'm pretty sure i've read about this before... but i can't remember nor can i find anything related to the units by Search....
My idea is to replace the Normal units "FPS" in the Benchmark Framtime with "Min", "Avg", "Max".
I couldn't find anything in the documentation or the cfg files related to FPS or changing units. Is this Hardcoded or is there any way to modify that?

Please create a separate thread for “how do I do it” questions unrelated to new functionality.

Just a quick inquiry to be clear for novitiate autists like myself:

    1. Start windows with MSI Afterburner and custom fan curve for MSI RTX 3080.

    2. Let it run for about 5-30 seconds to kick in the fan curve to firmware.

    3. Close Afterburner.

    4. Fan curve is then applied until next restart/shutdown without Afterburner running in the background.

Is this correct Good Sir Unwinder??

edit: Also, is there any possibility of getting this to work with GPU clock profiles like undervolts? Where we can set it then close AB?

Correct, it should behave this way with custom fan curve if firmware fan control mode is ticked in fan control properties (when your GPU supports this mode of course). Clock profiles always worked this way before, VF curve adjustment is not a software technology and it _never_ required keeping MSI AB running in background.

Thank you for clearing that up... and making me feel like even more of a newb. :)

I'd like to add that when I set "Use firmware control mode" in fan settings that the Fan Speed (%) is no longer reported on the main UI of Afterburner. Is this normal behavior due it now being handled by firmware?

"No longer reported" or "reported as zero"?
