    Successful unlocking to 16x1/6vp

    Model asus 6800 128mb v9999/td

    Masked units were pixel unit 0 and vertex unit 3

    3dmark03 increased from 8066=>8998
    3dmark05 increased from 2995=>3413

    I just love getting a bonus that i didn't pay for :)
    Thanx unwinder

    PNY 6800 from the CUSA deal:

    bit01 Pixel unit 1: unlock causes artifacting
    bit11 Vertex unit 3: unlock successful

    running 12x1, 6vp

    Might be a little disappointed not being able to open the pipes, but who can argue with getting a vp working?

    Just my 5 cents: bought a Leadtek A400LE TDH 2 months ago, after following the diuscussion here. Unlocked all pipe and vertex units with RT.

    Got absolutely no artifacts so far neither in games nor benchmarks. Performance increase on same clock speed is about 20%.

    Pixel 2,3 masked. Vertex 3,5.

    So maybe you can't here it any more
    Thanks Unwinder :)

    Got a 6800 GTO (comes with Dell systems) with Vertex unit 3 (bit 11) and Pixel unit 3 (bit 03) masked, RT cannot unmask them for some reason.

  16. asus 6800le/td

    THX unwinder -> 16/6 on my asus 6800le/td!!

    16/6 is the good news, 320/740 the bad.
    WHY??
    its a 100% identical hardware to the asus gt/td with hynix 2,2ns!!
    i heard about a guy in a forum(same card,same problem) who volt modded first - with no real performance increase, then flashed to asus 6800gt/td 128 with this effect -> 410/950 whats is impressive, but more realistic than 320/740! am i right?
    is there some other kind of lock or different parameters except pipes and volt and
    is a solution already planed for the 15.3? or do i have to use the risky bios flash method? will changing the hardware identification settings to costum/6800gt take effect?

    running 12/6 here on a locked bfg 6800OC (using the command lines in 'softmod doesn't stick').

    vertex shader unlocks fine. But if i try and unlock pixel shader , system hangs straight away (well screen blanks out i try and move the mouse, comes back after about 5 secs) . I thought that the extra pixel shaders only came into affect when playing games. anyone know whats going on here?

    With old rivatuner I got artefacts and no extra performance going from 12x1,5vp to 16x1,6vp.

    With the latest rivatuner, Aquamark jumps from 45000 to 48000 and 3Dmark03 now up to 9600, but I get artefacting (little white dots in the background).

    I disabled the pixel pipeline and kept the extra vertex pipeline and it works fine now. Only a third the performance increase, but better than nothing. So it's the pixel pipeline that's knackered.

    Is there a poll or database where we can see which brands have more chances of unlocking than the others.
