100% working. BFG 6800OC Pixel Unit 2 Vertex Unit 3. I must say I'm a bit dissapointed though. Only 250 3dmark point increase. That seems to be very small increase compared to everybody else. XFX 6800 LE, not overclocked. now running 12x1, 6 vs Pixel unit 0 and 2 were hardware masked; 2 produces artifacts if enabled. Vertex unit 3 and 5 were hardware masked.
I must be blind, can anyone tell me how i find what is disabled and not? Or just give me a link to how the procedure is...

16-6 is ok on my leadtek pixel unit 1 was disabled vertex unit 3 was disabled but i cant overclock like i could at 12/5pipes,and my score with 12/5 at 400/900 is faster than the 16/6 at 325/700. need to mod the bios voltage i think.
in Rivatuner, under "Target Adapter" click Customize -> Low-level settings -> NVStrap Driver bar -> check the "allow enabling hardware masked units" -> change the Graphics processor configuration to "custom" and then click Customize. you should see a table with all the pixel and vertex units, both enabled and masked (it's easy to spot them, they have HW Masked "yes") then, to activate the masked ones, just put a "check" to the left in the line of the masked one(s). apply, then reboot. to test if it was successful and the extra pipelines/vertex processors are fine, try graphic benchmarks and demanding games (ex. 3dmark2001,3dmark03,3dmark05,aquamark,doom3,splintercell,ut,etc) and search for artifacts. if they don't show up, you're prolly running fine and u can also run the test Fillrate (multi-texturing) and Vertex Shader test in 3dmark2001 to check for the performance improvement. greetz
My AOpen 6800LE gives no artifacts at 16x1, 6 VP at default speeds (300/700). pixel units 2 and 3 were locked, as were vertex units 0 and 1. As for general comments : On the Dutch tweakers site we have about 50 results, with a whole spectrum from those getting 8x1, 6 VP up to quite a few with 16x1, 6 VP. Not sure about the exact percentages since the poll we got up there seems to be rather screwed up, however at the moment it seems about half of the poll answers are 8x1 and the other half is two thirds 16x1 with one third 12x1 cards in the mix. Mostly 6 VPs, but there are also some answers with 5 and even 4 VPs. The strange thing is that very few people have written messages complaining about having an 8x1 card, so I don't really trust our poll Is it possible that bad PC cooling or not enough case power might give artifacts when opening up pipelines, whereas plenty of good clean power and lower ambient temperature might avoid them?

well, there hasn't been a single report of a damaged card using this softmod, so it seems pretty safe. and in case of not working units (artefacts appear when you're playing or in 3d benchmarks) you can always restore the card to the previous, working state

I have a BFG 6800OC NU. 12x1 5vp Well Vertex Unit 3 was enabled ok, but as soon as I enable Pixel Unit 3, Windows XP refuses to boot. I get a black screen, sometimes with a cursor. I thought that if the softmod didn't work, it would just show artifacts? Is there something I should know? Also, any bios hack info would be great. Thanks, poorman
