Hmm, Demon's Souls in 4K @60fps is worth testing, then.

Demon Souls has worked at 4k 60 since 2019.

Yeah, GPU aspect of emulation is the least of concerns. At this stage average user is far more likely to have more than adequate GPU to run emulated game at any resolution they want than to have CPU to properly emulate rest of it.

I mean sure features are features but this feels kinda redundant.

Probably not different from Magpie, postprocessed FSR which even might lower fps instead of raising it.

Nopes, but the Magpie developer stated:
    • Users may not see much improvement by enabling FSR.
    • FSR has been implemented as a post-processing technique and may add more noise and possibly artifacts when it is enabled.
    • Missing pixel details in an image from lowering the screen resolution cannot fully be supplemented by FSR.
    • Not tested with games at 1440p and 4K resolutions, so it might not work as intended.
    • Magpie with FSR may be resource intensive.
As much as I'm aware RPCS3 uses Magpie for FSR.
