I know. But you do know that if you build a website for it and you ask 2 dollars for every new release, that EVERYONE would pay those 2$.

Just calculate, this release has almost 6 million downloads.

    That's 12 million dollar!

You could become rich with this tool. I really don't know why you don't ask 2 dollars for it. Work on the program untill your 50, and the next 10 generations in your family will never have to work again :)

I don't have any Anti-virus running and my firewall is configured right. They will run fine if I use the RC2.0 but not this one.

However, only a side process can cause that. Nobody besides you can check and terminate the processes running in background on your system and nobody besides you experiences that problem. Finding that application is the only workaround for you, sorry.

    Great work as always, Alexey!
Hopefully, you will still be teasing us with new features in RivaTuner even when we become grumpy old grandfathers... ;)

Unwinder : why you dont interest to add Shader Overclocking option for Geforce 8 Series in RivaTuner? you dont have plan for it?

because Most of 8x00 OC limitation is for Shader!

I have XFX 8800GTS 580M that have Core 580MHz and Shader Clock 1500MHz @ Stock when I bump Core speed upto 608MHz then shader operate @ 1550+ and its unstable and I dont have OC headroom

I flash BIOS to Core 580 Shader 1350 Now I'm on 675MHz of Core and Shader around 1500 but Flash is risky way for every new OC

Finally Please add Shader OC option in your great software

But does it really make a big difference?
Now your shader clock is lower, doesn't that decrease performance?
And how much does shader-speed effect the card temperature?

My card is clocked at 650 Core. Are you saying that if I flash my card ( with nibitor for example ) to 1200 shader that the card might work at 700Mhz?

What is best ( speed )?
    1. High Core, High Shader, High memory
    2. Higher Core, Lower Sharder, High memory

    Please, teach me :)

Now if only it could do the dishes... and install for all users... and doubling pipelines is always welcome too... ;))

I love this program, but I noticed something odd: The AGP flavor of 7950 GT has 24 pipelines and 8 vertex shaders, yet RivaTuner v2.01 is only showing 16 pipelines and 5 vertex shaders. Is this driver-related or RivaTuner-related?

Finally please use great forum search function and perform magic RTFM operation. ;) I've explained many times that the clocks are controlled by ForceWare and it _automatically_ syncs shader domain with ROP domain using default shader/ROP constant of proportionality. Domain clocks are not accessed by RT directly. And never will be.

Check NVStrap configuration. Most likely you've installed it on your old hardware (you had 6800 in the past, right?) and didn't remove after replacing it with 7950, so NVStrap downgrades your pipe config to old one. If it is true, uninstalling NVStrap will give you a great performance boots.

I've a different point of view, sorry. Looks like you forgot to check the release notes.

    Built-in documentation, "Known issues" section:

    - Currently RivaTuner doesn't provide and Vista specific databases for the ForceWare drivers, however Vista users may use compatible Windows 2000/XP databases.

Tanx for explain Unwinder but second question :
you think Nvidia Uninstaller is enough to remove Foreware completely? or we need better uninstaller like "Driver Cleaner .Net"?

    First look here : http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=2953&p=7
also my shader @ 675MHz is 1550+ is not low! its highe speed for G80!
about temp my test says no effect

about your card NO! 650MHz is Max Speed for 8800GTS @ default Vcore! if you do voltmod you can reach 700 or higher! :approval:

Best Speed is Max Stable Core Clock + Max Stable Shader Clock
about memory it dont have huge efficient like Core and Shader but always higher is better for gaming @ 1600x1200+ with high AA and AF
