I missed it, my appologies......:behead:
Thanks again for your program and hard work.
No problem, just read the posts carefully next time. They contain a lot info, which can be really useful for you.
how can I get it to recognize my XFX 8800GS?
I like RT because of your porfessional approach of handling possible problems like this one - that's make a tool perfect, thank you!
There were a bunch of new beta (some whql'ed) drivers appeared on the net (171.17 and 171.23 for xp and 173.XX for vista), so please consider updating your driver database in RT before 2.07 release - if that is not too much work. It would be good to know, there's some 'official' support for those in RT.
Offtopic a bit, but relates to RT:
I use parallel GPU-Z (to quickly see my clocks) and RT for OC and every other GPU/fan-related things. I put a RT clock monitoring shortcut to table, but prefer GPU-Z for a quick overlook of driver version and default/ oc'ed clocks. Unfortunatelly GPU-Z 0.1.6 misleadingly shows the pre-set (wished) rop/shader/mem clocks and not the actual ones, which is correctly shown by RT only.
Sure, it's not your problem, but If those guys cannot handle the detection properly, you might consider help them out. I'm sure GPU-Z will never be a challenger for RT (considering its monitoring-only approach and few functions), so it does not harm/endanger RT - as a payment, they should put an 'About' tab to GPU-Z which would state, that clock detection routines came from Unvinder. I'm sure they know and respect your work...
Unwinder and Wizzard are long time friends. And more.
This is the best utility by far, the most useful program I have ever used.
Thank you so much Unwinder for your time and effort, you are a massive star.
So there is at least hope for overclocking my HD 3870 X2 ?
You can use AMD GPU tool clock utility for that with updated dll
will there be a "rt 2.07" release today?
The answer is just a few posts above:
Don't be lazy and read the thread before posting to it.
Unwinder, it seems that nVidia are ramping up driver leaks in readiness for a stable official WHQL, probably due to the 9600GT being imminent.
The latest leaks are 174x, and perform very well in Vista. Are you going to hold of the release a bit til the next nVidia drivers are out, or is the current official support of 171.16x the maximum driver revision for 2.07?
The only thing holding the release is my 9600GT sample arrival. And of course it will support all public drivers avaiable at the release time. Current build of 2.07 includes all drivers up to 174.12 and that's normal practice, I'm always updating the database if new drivers are released during testing period.
U also do that for ati drivers? (cat.8.2)
Is there maybe a function to disable crossfire/powerplay for the 3780x2?
The very first posting of this thread explicitly says that there is no official Crossfire support in RT and that 3780x2 support may be limited to single GPU functionality.
Rivatuner core temp?
Hi i'm sorry if this has already been asked but i cant find it anywhere
Is the core temperature in rivatuner the temp of my VGA or my CPU?
If this is the temp of my cpu then i realy dont know how to see the temp of my VGA
i have read al lot of forums but i cant find it i dont know if i just overlooked it or i wont get it
That's your VGA. RT is graphics hardware oriented tool, so "Core" applies to GPU.
for me (hd2900 pro 512bit) the same problem with fan controls still exists in windows vista. perhabs you know where i can find fan settings in bios to change them manually with hex editor ?
tnx for replying so fast
Just popped by before work to see if there was any word on 2.07 as I haven't been in this portion of the forums for a while.
Wicked sick. Can't wait to give it a go.
Thanks Unwinder. Also I am very glad to see 174.12 support as these drivers rock.
