Rise of the Tomb Raider performance, and troubleshooting

Just got news from AMD. It could be a few days until we get the new driver/Crossfire profile.

 

Where did you get those news from?

 

I wonder why this is happening to be honest. Could be that they don't get the final build in time or that they get it, but so messed up on amd gpu's that it takes them to much time to improve things.

I'm gonna miss out buying this game only because of the lack of CFX support. The coupon I have that I could buy it with a 30% discount expires Sunday. So now it'll be until it's at least 50% when I look at it again.

I see what you did there and no.

 

It's an Nvidia game. So that just leaves AMD scrambling when it comes out.

However, what I am hearing is good news so far.

As for the question about my source? I know some one who works for AMD

He is running a closed beta atm and said that Crossfire works very well in the new driver. He too is running Fury X CFX and 4k.

He told me that they are going to take a few days to test it properly and make sure there is no corruption etc and then it will see a release, which is why they haven't rushed it out.

 

Some of you buy it this game,some of you not buy it this game.

Why bother for this game I dont get it? The Tom Raider 2013 I struggled to finish it,because of consolistic port.
Now this game is so special?I dont think so. Or maybe:"OMG OMG I need this game because of butt&tits"!!!

My R9 280 plays well other games:FO4,GTA V,CIV V,Skyrim,The Witcher 3 and so on.So I dont bother for this consolistic game anymore.
You know:Netflix and chill.

Btw now for this game maybe you wanna buy Gtx 980TI as Nvidia recommends,some of you maybe will buy that card because nvidia wants that.

Only 30-35.000 users play this on Steam(108.000 owners),so its not a big hit.

 

Well i hope you are right, also i hope the driver will bring some stability and performance to single gpu's also.

 

If you guys go back to Hilbert's performance and review of the game he did some further testing and found out that AMD's performance issues has to deal with the number of cores being used.

it's the normal bad overhead/multicore optimization of amd drivers never fixed...

 

I know right. If you like a game with a female main character, you are a sexiest and you only care for butt&tits. I now know - thanks to you - why i liked Tomb Raider so much. Thanks for the enlightenment.

But seriously. Don't just assume that people can only like tomb raider because of tits and buts. Just because you didn't like the game, doesn't mean that i or other people didn't like the game. I also have no problems with playing my PC games with a controler. However, i played tomb raider with mouse and keyboard, because of the aiming.

I really want to play Rise of the Tomb Raider, because i want to play the game. If people really want to see some tits, they can watch porn or get a girlfriend.

Tomb Raider 2013 was an awesome game, I really hope they bring the performance if this one up to par, although I can't see Square Enix giving a sh*t.

AMD is (as usual) late with the drivers, and the whole frame spiking thing smells like a draw call problem (once again). Also, I really hope that the two guys they have working on memory management, figure this out

 

My prevoius post was made it because...drivers and no CFX for some users.
Its AMD,its drivers,its low money from them.So be patient with them.
If not,well,Nvidia wants your money to buy Gtx 980TI.

And yes this game is a port from unselled Xbox One version,then they brought us fast as they can because console version did not sell well.
If this game will be good port then I buy it when Steam Winter Sale will come.
