Need some help, my laptop screen suddenly showed red pixel on all of the dark color. If I changed the background to bright color like blue, yellow, or other, there is no red pixel. If I changed the background to solid black color, it all become red. I don't think this is a driver problem since I already tried uninstalling the driver and the red color also showed in BIOS. Here's some photo of the screen. Can this be fixed?
Microsoft messed up last update. Could be related to it. If you recently updated windows, try to roll back to last stable version. edit: me potato
What correlation is there between BIOS and windows updates? @OP that's clearly subpixel defect; you should contact HP for screen replacement. That looks like an 840 laptop, relatively new. https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c00288895
Doesn't look like internal cable\loose contact problem because only black is red and other colours are not deformed.
