We review PowerColor Hellhound again, this round in a special edition Spectral White version. The Radeon RX 6700 XT with demonic naming, meet the Hellhound edition. A product that stays at reference p... Review: Powercolor RX 6700 XT Hellhound Spectral White
It really is a good performing card. But with an already high MSRP that's no where to be found, well, you know the thing man!
oooh pretty been planning a white build. if i could actually find this particular one i could go with a ryzen 7 5800x instead of the 5950x then add the differential to the $600 i wanted to spend and stay within the same budget. but i can't get past my gag reflex over the scalp
Hilbert, I don't want to be a PITA but what is the point of reviewing cards nobody can get apart from reviewers ? I looked at my normal online store and they have some Matrox cards in stock ... why don't you review one of those and then perhaps do a perhaps ironic take on it and then send the review to nvidia and AMD ? I'd like a Matrox review to be added to your impressive GPU SHOOTOUT. They are under represented on there currently ...
Agree with Andy and the rest of the replys STOP reviewing Cards and Proscessors that no man his dog and a horde have NO chance of buying seriously all you are doing is taking the P%^& out of the readers. Stop it and tell the industry that.
No tech review sites halted reviews because of this, why should G3D be the lone exception? And do car review sites stop reviews of all Ferraris because 99.9% of their readers cant buy them?
this card is clearly power limited by design.would buy other brand if possible. as for the performance,a little disappointed with 1440p dx12/vulkan where this card is supposed to shine. same as 3060ti in pretty much every game except for valhalla. given both 3060ti and 3070 blast this card with rt+dlss,I'd expect it to match 3070 in this best case for amd scenario cause they're nearly the same msrp.
Mspr means nothing really 3070 is 300$ more than 6700xt looking at scalper prices. RE8 also going in favor of 6700xt becouse nvidia card dont have enough memory. Imagine buying a 1300$ gpu having to use medium textures in brand new game.
imagine buying a $1000 one like 6700xt costs now and not being able to use RT except for one game when cheaper cards from nvidia do. RE8 is both 1. a demo at this point 2. an exception to all other RT games. as for destroying 2080S,wouldn't call a couple percent faster "destroying" especially what I wrote about RT vs. ampere is basically the same situation for turing. lack of vram for 4K RT on in one game is not equivalent to a card being vram limited. in time, you'll see 20 games that give ampere/turing a boost with dlss for one that runs better on amd cause they went with more vram to entice buyers. 6800xt costs less than 3080 and it's equal or faster, that's why it's a good buy. 6700xt is 3060ti equivalent for more money. I know rx6000 is a good series, but claiming the worst card of the lineup has a ray tracing advantage over rtx20/30 because of one game/demo is some borderline amd fanboy claim.
Meanwhile, a GTX 1060 (worth $179 FIVE years ago) is going for $925 right now. FFS!!!1 ...hmmm...which makes me think, good time to sell my old one for $599.99?
