not that much? dafuq is wrong with you
AT shows 980 being faster 8 times out of 9 benchmarks, losing only in double precision test

and concluding out of all these reviews you mention that
    that's pure trolling my friend

-Tj-'s 780 is better than any Maxwell, released or still to be released, and will be forevermore, amen. :p

honestly... gaming perf. defeat is barely worth mentioning if you have 780 Ti.

But considering all other factors like:
    • being on the same node
    • being done on much tighter TDP
    • DSR, VXGI, MFAA, (at least partial) DX12 hardware feature set compliance, VR Direct
    • 33% more VRAM
    • the price
Considering all this - 780/Ti is truly a yesteryear card in comparison,
and if I had bought it recently, I'd be pissed same as Tj

I got my cards 9 months ago, not pissed 1 bit. Waiting for the big daddy maxwell, whenever that gets released, but not the titan 2.

Hear ya, the 20nm, full on TDP maxwells will be out of this world. I might add another 970 on the cheap when they come out, or just go all out and buy a big daddy.

i'd like one for far cry 4 FuRR, any 970 /980 will do as long as it's 8gb.
(will look for another to pair when a game needs it, don't imagine fc4 will stress an OCed 970 /980.

I don't know why you keep biting, you should know he is just winding people up.

He's not stupid, and knows fine fine well that when using a 1080p screen and no AA there is no game in the next few years will come close to exceeding 4GB with such low settings.

I'm "biting" because I love calling people up on their stupidity. If I see something stupid, I'll demand an explanation. I never get one, and that makes me a winner, and makes SLI (in this case) a loser. Ego boosts are fun.

I'm already convinced I will never be able to use more than medium settings and textures on 4GBs so I'm cool with that. [IMG]

now you're just trolling, no need to quote multiple times..And then diss like you did.

Yeah I said not that special by DC, so? Full Maxwell will be much better in everything, including DC. Guess I should have said that in the first place :nerd:

    ps
nope Im not pissed one bit, play anything fine @ 1080p and this Oc'ed GK110 is plenty for it and in the near future. When its not, I'll sell it and buy something stronger with bigger fps gains - kinda like GM210 will be.. No big deal.
At least its faster then your R9-290, imagine if we traded like you mentioned in another thread, teh horrorz *pun intended* lol :p

lol see, he gets my sarcastic enthusiasm  :D

    It would seem so

Judging from your posts I don't think you have. Join the club and hock off that garbage 780, sold mine for $200 it was either that or a paperweight.

Yeah, I remember the feeling seeing my 8800gts 640mb card upstaged by that single-slot shrimp of a card the 8800gt. Didnt last long though, quickly grabbed a 8800gts 512mb to appease myself. :p

GK110 was the tech beast, but maxwell make it look like a super date arch and on the same node!!! GK104 and 110 were impressive, but gm204 is far far more impressive.

NVIDIA my body is ready for GM210 20NM...
