Went from "Coming Soon" to not even listed on Newegg.
Ok prices went live just now , it costs €799 here in NL
The cheapest one I found in the UK is £679 on Novatech, OcUK won't even load the nvidia gpu section of their site, obviously getting hammered.
That's pretty steep.
EDIT: OcUK loaded, the cheapest 1080 on there is £529, it's a KFA2 "reference blower" one, so not a FE. Now I wouldn't buy that, but that price is pretty good.
All of the cards in Finland are *drumroll* 800€ so far. Even the AIB ones with custom cooler. That is quite a bit more then 980ti was when it came out actually. Cheapest in germany I found was KFA2 699€ so 779$. Hohoh ok.
Interesting... OcUK just changed their 1080 range quite a lot... I was browsing them and suddenly the page refreshed and now we're seeing quite a few AIB ones...
Here are the prices
1080 FE - £619-£649
MSI Gaming - £649
Gigabyte Extreme Edition - £649
Zotac AMP! Extreme - £619
Asus DCUIII - £619
Gigabyte G1 Gaming £608
EVGA FTW - £608
Zotac AMP! - £578
KFA2 EX OC - £548
There's a couple of silly blower (non FE) offerings going as low as £524
So yeah, FE seems to be the most expensive, along with some premium AIB ones (Gigabyte and MSI Gaming) but other than that, there's some nice ones for sub £600. Not too bad. https://www.overclockers.co.uk/pc-components/graphics-cards/nvidia/geforce-gtx-1080?sPage=1&sSort=4
Even 524£ is quite a bit. But close to the msrp of 699$.
Give it a minute, I bet OCUK raise their prices once they realise the point at which everywhere else has set their prices lol
It's less than what the 980ti launched with. Looking at 980ti prices now, they go from £479 to £589 for the regular AIB (the hybrids are more expensive).
So on average we're seeing the 980ti costing about £50 less atm, which I guess is fair seeing that there's not much between the 2 cards when overclocked.
I remember seeing some 980ti's here for 750-799€ at launch. But then again € was stronger back then. Cheapest was 724€ for MSI Gaming it seems.
But well the msrp was similar 699.
Where is Fox2323? He has a lot of words he needs to eat. I told him custom designs would cost less than FE, but he was too busy trying to stir up a ****storm and thinking of new ways to speak in riddles to listen
Gigabyte G1 is 40gbp cheaper than FE rofl, Zotac amp 70gbp cheaper.
Prices will go even lower once initial frenzy dies out
EVGA has a 1080 auto-notify $609 but their site is like exploding.
Once the frenzy is over and Polaris launches things will settle. But prices look fine to me honestly. As I expected high end custom boards cost as much as the FE, and when I bought my 980ti (October 2015) high end custom 980s were still selling for 550-600 euro lol
They still are quite expensive now in central EU e.g. 980Ti's..
I bought mine from Italy via amazon.it and it cost me 682€ 3-4months ago, now I see its ~ 640€ on avg AT or GER or even 660€ in UK.. Guess 980Ti prices will hold until they ran out of stock or get cheaper when full 1080Ti releases - basically around 2x 980Ti stock perf..
Sure seems to be a lot of folks (on a lot of threads) trying to convince themselves that a 980TI is a better card than a 1080. The benchmarks make it pretty clear that it's not.
We all know that the 980ti is a phenomenal card, it's been king for awhile now. If you just bought one, enjoy. You can stop with all the here's why it's better nonsense though, especially with overclocked results (as if you wouldn't/couldn't overclock the 1080). The 980Ti has been dethroned.
It's cheaper. That's literally the only reason to get a 980Ti over a 1080. With the equally strong performing 1070 coming, the 980Ti will find itself obsolete in the marketplace (poor value) very quickly. We go through this every cycle.
I don't think anyone is saying the 980ti is the better card.
But I am saying the 980ti is better than the 1070.
Overclocked 1070 gets 4500 is Firestrike ultra
French review website leaked the 1070 review
From the last charts it looks like the 1070 beats both 980ti and the Titan X. That looks great and if the price is around £350, Nvidia have a killer card right there.
I hope those prices come down when the dust settles down , they still kind of pricey :/
Just saw, that one of the local shops has MSI and Zotac FE ones for €760.
This Angry Kid can not wait any longer for the 1070/1080 equipped with custom aib coolers:
Needs a Major upgrade on Gpu and needs it bad,
