100% agreed. Thank god I built my rig when I did. Ram is crazy right now for DDR4. I bought my R9 Fury for $250 brand new in Feb 2017, 6 weeks later it was almost $400 used cause of mininers.
The whole thing hurts PC gaming more than DLCs, DRMs and Paywalls did. Right when PC gaming rigs started to become more interesting with the release of proper multi core CPUs Dram and GPUs price hikes killed it. Right at its birth. The whole thing is ridiculous.
Looks like a really nice board, thanks for the review. But I agree with AzzKickr, and for that reason I'm staying with my Z97+4790K until I "really" see biggers gains in games with more cores (playing@60 fps). --- Just a note about the board: the upper M.2 connector support SATA as well as PCI-E.
Finally an affordable mobo reviewed. I was starting to think that $/€300+ was becoming the new normal for a decent gaming mobo.
It's nice to see magically cheaper z370 boards now that they have to compete. Sadly as others have mentioned upgrading now in general sucks.
