Utterly unplayable. Keeps crashing. Many textures are blurry too.
Its the new benchmark technique.
My old eye's cant tell no issues so far , fun game for me .
FSR made the game look like crap on my 3090, if you turn it on set it to Quality and look at the clouds during the day as you walk they go fuzzy.
Turned off FSR, stopped the fuzziness and cleared up some of the strange blur, everything is set to Ultra, raytracing on, motion blur off.
He just forgot FSR enabled in non-FSR benchmark.
RT will always be the benchmark from now on because we have a looooong way ahead in order to achieve full path-tracing in modern games.
Im financially challenged with having a 6800xt, 49 inch superwide, and full custom loop rig, threadripper and mini itx Ryzen rigs that also have nvidia GPUs. Or 2 4x4 trucks, 2 mustangs, and 2 properties.
You need to flex your brain more.
You missed the joke
it's a middle ground soultion between ray tracing (turing/ampere/rdna2) and tray racing (pascal/rdna1).
Using Driver 456.71 , FSR likes it , 1080p for my system.
Clairvoyance isnt a requirement on this forum.
GPU wars are so 2012
I sure as hell hope your not trying to put me in some fanboy war. I own both sides.
I just really despise nvidia fanboys.
They are worse then the 12 year old virgin Halo fanboys from 2002-2005.
they're not worse than any other stupid person e.g. stupid intel fanboy or stupid amd fanboy.
stupid is stupid no matter what side.
the problem with brand arguments is each side thinks they're the smart one while they're both the exact same idiot.
dunia is absolutely ancient and it's pathetic it's being pushed in late 2021
so are quarter resolution RT reflections, they look awful.
they're trying to save it with a texture pack but it's a futile attempt.
metro EE has a one ray per pixel infinite bounce GI+AO implemenation and this turd pushes a 7 year old engine with quarter res reflections.
Yeah, Dunia really needs a full revamp. Or as an alternative, they should use some other engine, be it from another Ubisoft studio, or another company.
But I don't see Ubisoft investing that money, unless there's a big pushback from gamers. If FC6 fails to meet sales expectations, and gamers clearly point out that performance and graphics are one of the main gripes, maybe they'll do something about it.
I really don't think the RT implementation is that bad. Especially after seeing this comparison.
But, the game should have options to increase RT quality. That way, gamers could choose quality or performance. Like in other games.
Truth be told, we've had worse RT implementations in other games. Like Shadow(s) of the Tomb Raider. That one was completely pointless.
Weird that FC6 couldn't do Transparency Reflections, so that glasses would look more realistic. WD Legion has it and it look very nice on car windows, etc...
I think the game has serious issues with the 3080.
The Vram usage is totally wrong as well as texture filtering, the game looks like it has no AF regardless of the settings... and turning on DXR Reflection makes the game stutter badly.
Does anyone with RTX 3080 has the same issue?
I have been in testing of farcry 6 for the better part of 6 months. Fun game (still playing it). My 2070 super had some crashes but found out it was just getting to hot OCed. Suppose to be getting the dlcs soon to test. Running @1440 80 to 100 fps.
The game has stutter, bad RT implementation, and doesn't even offer the option for DLSS. It's really a pity.
It seems that they haven't fixed the fundamental issues with this engine (the stutter), and that they basically let AMD decide what Raytracing they will be using, no surprises it's subpar there. I understand that DLSS is proprietary, but it would be a nice thing for a title of this caliber, especially since FSR is basically always looking worse.
