Well it's good to know that Micron memory works fine with Ryzen, so the issues do appear to only be specific to Hynix memory then.
Isn't this the same kit that recently broke the world record DRAM speed at 5726MHz? I'm surprised you can't squeeze much out of this. What was your System Agent voltage and sub-timings during testing?
Can't recall as the review was finished a week or two ago, but tried a variety of voltages and (sub)timings to no avail.
I think you should switch over to your 9900K/Z390 platform for RAM reviews....the 8700K/Z370 is taking the fun out of your overclocks PS : The TridentZ Royal kit you reviewed not long ago should easily do 4000Mhz CL17 @ 1.4V
