Review: ASUS ROG GeForce RTX 3050 STRIX OC

About the same as or worse than the 5600XT and costs more. Exactly what one would expect to happen after people have willingly paid more for less for a few years .

 

Overclocked it reaches Vega 64 (my card) levels, at the right price point it would be a very good 1080p card.

 

Amd rx6500xt is destroyed. It should cost half the price of rtx3050. Amd should never release that card...

Nvidia will dominate enthusiasts with 3090ti and budget gamers with 3050.

 

True. But at least the 3050 has decent support for RTX. And it has DLSS 2.x.

 

3050 is more like rx6600 non xt competitor looking at the pricing they are very close. 6500xt is on league its own, crappy league that is.

 

Better than nothing but it's still a poor showing.

 

Honestly trash raytracing performance even with dlss. It should not be on mind when buying gpu like this.

 

At low RT settings, with DLSS, and 1080p, this card will be able to get 60 on a few games.
Much better than a 6500XT, that can´t even get 30 fps, regardless of settings.

 

How can you call this a budget card if it costs 300-400 bucks? Both AMD and Nvidia will sell all they can manufacture to miners anyway.

 

I'll take 10 at 5x MSRP please.

 

Tbh I wouldn't buy this even at MSRP. What a joke this generation has become.

 

It barely did 30-45fps in those tests rt+dlss at 1080p, thats worse than 2060.

Honestly one should get rx6600 instead if can be found close to this price.

 

But with high RTX settings. With lower settings, it will get closer to 60 fps.

 

Lol i hope no one wastes their money buying a super expensive version of the cheapest gaming gpu. Either get the cheapest 3050, or get a cheap 3060. Not an expensive 3050.

 

RX6600 close to this price ? its not even nearly enough to call it close.

Thats 550 eur vs 300-400 EUR.

It will destroy 6600 $/frame.

I already know some shops tomorrow will have it 300-350 eur , that is actually HALF the price of RX6600. Think again

For anyone desperate for PC gaming , at 300 EUR this is insta buy and there isnt anything better.

Not a bad card , actually at the right price it is good enough for 1080p but people have to lower the expectations and lower the settings in game to medium or perhaps low mixed. It is what it is a 1080p vga with compromises on video settings for 60 fps , low end , bare minimum for 1080p. Desperate times calls for desperate measures .
