To me, these AMD benchmarks show the kind of gains possible on AMD hardware had they been as involved as Nvidia is in the game design process previously. Glad they are catching up now and making some kickass drivers, actually shows what their hardware is capable of.

Fine wine forever, though bit too late for vega series to get a new lease on life.

That depends on what you buy it for :) If you want ~60fps, sure. If you want 144 or 240, there's no 4k card.

Discussed alot, but that doesn't mean that people agreed ;) 10gb is ok for now at native 4k maxed settings, question is if it will be in 2 years - i personally doubt it :)

    Yep !

Could definitely be true :) For people like me who thought about not upgrading for a few years (normally I do it every 2 years) it could be an issue for sure.

Maybe that site actually tweaking the Intel cpu the right way? 5000mhz ring, 4400mhz+ c17 tweaked memory, resulting in sub 35ns memorylatency and 70GB/s+ readspeed speed. Dual rank memory helps on Intel too.

I haven't seen that test, but I can only assume that is a possibility.

People has to learn to buy whatever they want, not to tell others what they should buy.

Check 1060 3gb vs 6gb. Crush all your theories how 4gb is enough for 1080p. Soon this will happen to 8gb cards

BTW. RTX3070 nice FULL HD card :)

I'm really surprised they didn't do this game on Vulkan as it was said its on the same engine as Ghost Recon Breakpoint which looks and runs awesome in Vulkan. But GRB was originally just DX11 so maybe the just decided instead of doing DX11 and Vulkan they would just do DX12? GRB is a great looking game though even if people didn't like it much, though with the many patches it has gotten along with Vulkan implementation it is really a good game now in my opinion.

I would also say based on the benchmarks for this game that GRB runs better on Vulkan than this game runs on DX12 if they are truly the same engine. Which again makes me wonder why they didn't do it on Vulkan.

AMD said Farcry 5 needs 13GB of VRAM for textures. It doesn't. Not sure that I believe what AMD says anymore regarding texture use.

Just a little finding - use the High performace power plan. I see heavy microstuttering using the Balanced one.

    If a 5700x its 4 fps (FOUR EF-PI-ESSS) behind a 2080Ti in 1440p, well i can bet a 650$ 6800xt will land somewhere around 20% faster then a 3090 lol

Ok, the hint I'm getting is that RX6800XT is slightly slower than RTX3080 @4K in this game? Or have I got it backwards?

Adaptive quality changes the game settings not the AA I believe.

Yup, I know of a guy with a 3090 and he plays at 1080p or less all low settings for fps games.

I remember reading about people doing "upgrades" from Vega64 to RTX2070 in 2018. Oh.. wait a second...
