I do like the gains. Now it's decidedly better than Thuban in gaming, though still quite a ways behind Intel's chips. I might upgrade from my 1090t one day, but not today.

how can you get 3 of these chips when each one of them cost 219$ and 329$ for 3770k? talking bout exaggeration now thats funny lol.

nice price still it's not beat core i5 in many case. not just the bunch of holy s**** bench score to impresse. amd make almost the worse southbridge to accompany any high speed ssd. not just that this proc is a f****** 8core at stock 4ghz and they still compare to 4core 3,4ghz....
bought all the good stuff like ssd, nice gforce 6series and think i should pay for 20-30us less on procie OMG...... so my fast expensive ssd would run slower....OMFG...and getting difficulty with updating ssd firmware( i've been there ):bang::bang:
all says ivy is hotter yeah, this ivy chick is a lot hotter with her 36d so what..... it still less TDP....

Not sure if it's my CPU Batch but this CPU does not require a lot of voltage to gain high OC's unless I pass the 5.0GHz mark.

That Gflops speed looks kinda low, even my old yorkfiled scores higer with ~ 52Gflops :)

Btw sometimes if i got lower Gflops speed then expected it was because of incorect voltage setting (cpu & fsb & north bridge)..

Actually i think people need to think of it this way, if all you do is game @ 60fps and that is all you want, the cpu is perfectly fine, but once you go 120hz or similar sure it fails in comparison.

Multi-threading is where ALL PC software needs to go and become. but PC sector seem to be very slow at getting it all to Multi-threading over Brute power. AMD has that right. At some point we gona he wall where the power of 1 cant go no father, and multi-threading is gona become the only choice.

And most game to date fail at using all cores correctly. and cause intel still has best power per core intel still wins in most games. It would be interesting to see if Intel is still king once Games actual get coded right to use ALL core Available correctly. Cause Multi threading seem to be much better on AMD side.

Atlest this is how i see it I could be wrong for all i know. I never liked AMD CPU, probably never will. But even i am impressed by its multi threading

One multi threading is coded right and of load to other core. IMO the performance of the single core/cpu will not mean as much.

Again i could be wrong and not know what i talking about, but this is how i see it.

This is the kind of thing I have been saying all along. Multi-threading is the way forward, which is why regardless of "per core performance", I cannot recommend an i3 to anyone. The i3 is already starting to fall behind in anything that makes use of more than a dual core. I think the Bulldozer architecture has major potential, and we will see even more benefit when more software and games take advantage of multi-threading.

On another note, I am hearing rumors that Steamroller has been pushed back to 2014. Anyone else have any information on this?

hmm that gflops is pretty slow my old i7 980 not the extreme edtion was gettin 91 Gflops at 4.2 GHZ Mine was lil bit slower than YHC on his benchmarks results.

he didnt say it cant run it, he said it falls behind other cpu's a i3 is not killer cpu but then the COD games dont exactly need a high end computer to run. a athlon 64 x2 with 3 gb and 5770 ati run the game fine with AO and AA/FXAA off and i will to bet if same computer have newer gpu, it would have no issue with those features on.

Per core performance is great for games simply cause 99% of all software and games barely use more then 2 cores let alone 4+ and even when they do are just badly optimized. intel wins simple cause it has much better per core performance. where as amd is focused on multi thread. which is where amd is better and if software was programed to use multi cores correctly AMD would give intel a run for there money again. then maybe i could get intel cpu cheaper.

Personaly would never use a i3 in any computer of money or i make for some one

what program you using to show Cpu usage ingame? and is that fullscreen or windows fullscreen?

I been try to find single program that will show CPu usage/Gpu and all that in game. with just one program, and only thing i found that does it is Aida 64 OSD and that only works in windowed games.

Wow this is pretty good much better then Fraps, It would be perfect if it could show CPU Speed,Gpu, Gpu memory Speed and system Ram usage.

thanks. This will be replacing Fraps
