No there even matched on that.
Benchmark bf4 one with dx11 nvidea and the other using mantle.
The 290 will laugh its ass off.

Im stopping ive already proved my point.

First of all, the 290 is not faster performance wise, the 290x in 50% of games.
Second of all, loads of those who want to get their GTX 970 refunded don't get the refund, so your saying they should bin the card and buy a new one??
You got some sort of money problems?
If you don't know how to spend them I can mail you my bank account number.

why are you changing the subject? sure, 290 is a fine card and it's cheaper than then 970. Thing is, you said that it's faster than the 970. Which just isn't true.

all you've done is prove that the 970 IS the faster card, with your own links. You're good entertainment.

There aint a huge amount of difference between the 2 but the 970 is overall the faster card.

You will defend your purchase no matter what
im so glad im not you.
Fooling purchase and your trying to convince yourself you haven't been but the fact is you have.
Your being more foolish by defending your purchase.
Except the fact you have been scammed and buy yourself a card with 4 gig of memory.
Unless that is your running a cheap 1920 display and if that's the case you don't even need that card anyway.

    £400 pounds 2x290 cards pls.
Like to see any nvidea cards today give that price vs performance.

It's definitely not faster than a 970, even in Mantle supported games I doubt it would be faster.

    Im trolling......
    I run bf4 3200x1800 res, 3850 meg usage a lot.
60c max temp on both the cores.
    Getting 90 to 100 fps.

I did once owned a 780ti not enough memory

Price vs performance there is only 1 direction to go and that's 2x290 cards.
Ok admitted the 290 is 5% slower on the benchmarks but that's only because them guys are overclocking like crazy.

DONT RESPOND BECAUSE THIS IS MY LAST POST ON THIS TROLLING TOPIC.

I'm running a 1440p, 120hz IPS, 27" monitor. where exactly did I defend my purchase in this thread? Show me please. I can show you quite a few occasions of you defending your doubloons spent on those 290s.

so we agree on 290 being slower. Good.

I agree. you should stop right now, before you pick up more nominations for the best custom title.

I would never consider 2 cards from any brand to be anything close to having good price/performance.
If CF/SLI works and is at its best then yes, but if it doesn't then the cards end up being horrible value.

There seems to be alot of effort from some to convince 970 owners to ignore their own personal experience and just listen to random strangers instead.
