It needs to either be an action game with action game controls, or a survivial horror game with survival horror game controls. I could deal with RE4, but by the end of RE5 I was cursing Capcom for making the RE games more and more action based, and yet keeping a control system where you can't even frickin' shoot and move at the same time.
I would prefer them keep it a survival horror to be honest, and go back to their roots in terms of gameplay. But so long as the controls match the game type, it can't be worse than RE5.
i hope it stays like that
Thanks......that explains it
I agree also with making the game a survival Horror but i think they will make the game towards what the common gamer would appeal to......and that would be an action oriented game.
I hope it stays like that too, when i first played RE5 i gave up after less than an hour, couldn't get over the fact they had kept the same control scheme from the older games, and the tearing on the 360 drove me mad.
Played it nearly a year later on the PC, and loved it once i got used to the controls, didn't hurt that the game looked stunning, and performed near perfectly, even on my C2D and GTX260, was also good value, wasn't far off 20hours of play for me.
Saying that, while 5 was my favourite game since the second one, i would still like to see it go back to its roots, so looking forward to this, and hoping that Capcom will port this as well as nearly every other game they bring to the PC.
Tactical Survival Horror?
I heard socom devs are making this...also is it really for PC as well? some sites only mentioned PS3 and X360 only...
i hope it comes out on PC, i really want to play in full hd
More Capcom games please Capcom!!! SSF4, MvsC3, SFxT!!!
They should push the series up a notch and make it more like left 4 dead I think!
Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City - Official Teaser Trailer
What the Hell is going on here ?
wow looks sick, i like the dark atmosphere
I hope that was a joke, would be drop it down a notch.
While the Left4Dead games are fantasitc co-op MP games, they stink visually, and gameplay wise if your not a MP fan.
As for that trailer, as per above, the atmosphere looks great, definetly reminds me of the second game, which might be my favourite one.
Graphics wise, its hard to tell due to the very poor quality of the video, but i hope that was just a benchmark style run through, if they have turned it into some dumbed down FPS, then count me out.
Amen to that. I am willing to bet, right here, right now, that this is going to be a **** RE game. Maybe not a **** game altogether, but a **** RE game no doubt.
I would agree with you. Seeing from the trailer the whole game seems to be just like RE5 was. An action oriented game to appeal the masses. Hopefully Capcom wont disappoint us..... :3eyes:
I like Resident Evil 4.
I thought Resident Evil 5 was a cheap copy. RE4 was new, not as scary, but it had great atmosphere and good characters, with a half-decent plot. But they whored it out in RE5.
The older ones were really scary.
I really liked RE5, didn't feel too much like Resident Evil games of old, but i thought it was a fun game, and provided good value for money as well as some of the best visuals i've saw.
is it going to have ass controls like the rest of the series?
I hope so, wouldn't be a RE game if it changed the control scheme, so hoping Capcom don't sell out and change things.
i dont get why you'd hope that though, i tried playing RE5 and had to quit because of the horrible controls. the sensitivity changed too much for some reason and was never where i wanted it to be.
dont get me started on the stupid item system
I hated it to start with too, gave up on it for over a year, felt the controls were too dated.
Second time around it won me over, and i actually enjoyed it that way.
Would it be a better game with analog control etc...probaly, but it wouldn't feel like a RE game to me, as they changed enough as it is.
What stupid item system?
