Something is bugged with very high shadows and HBAO+ enabling one or another drops framerate more than 60 fps. Disable HBAO+ and drop shadows from very high to high and enjoy good framerates.
I've ran through it twice so far. Absolutely love it. This is what I've wanted for a Resident Evil game in a LONG time. Slow paced, tense, dripping with atmosphere... and where combat is an option, but not always the best one. Finished the demo twice. Got two different endings... still more stuff to find.

Damn, nice demo. Also, the performance is very nice. Everything set to V.high at 1440p (Minus HBAO+) 60 all trough out. No dips at all. And the game is looking to be awesome.

Performance is abysmal on my system with maxed out 2560x1440 settings, including FXAA + TAA and HBAO+. It's 60 fps one second then 30-40 fps the next and movement overall with the Xbox One Elite controller feels really laggy. Performance improves with interlaced rendering but I'm guessing that's because it's drawing alternate lines for each frame so it halves the work load. Image quality is noticeably inferior with interlaced rendering. Not quite sure why the game is running so badly as neither CPU nor GPU usage comes close to 100% at any point. In fact, my GPU even drops to 1,600 MHz (from 2,050 MHz) at times even though the framerate is sub-60 fps. Weird. Maybe it needs better optimisation, better graphics drivers or both? :3eyes:
You can FOV hack in the config files. I tried it out in VorpX on my Vive, looks better than it does in PSVR at least and generally seems to work pretty well. You just can't lean into objects like native VR of course but better than nothing. Curious what Streamingtextureloadlevelbias=0 does.
what's with HBAO+ lately.. The divison bugged dx12 mode - steam, now this with huge fps impact lol 2880x1620p DSR, rest maxed SSAO 80fps HBAO+ 54fps
Also internal scaling is buggy, keep it at 1 and use DSR instead. And vsync doesn't have Triplebuffer or its very limited. Anyway, really like how they use cam to real gfx combinations, nice touch. So far I got bad ending wanted to escape quickly xD
About... twenty minutes each. But, I can easily see myself getting MUCH more playtime out of the demo.
