I'm going to assume no one, but has anyone placed the Windows Store version of this game?

It seems to be half the price of the Steam version, and is also a Play Anywhere title.

Just finished this, bought it when it first came out, played for about an hour, got a little frustrated and moved on.

Anyway i used a walkthrough on easy then il go back on hard and play it through again,
Settings maxed out at 4k on 1080Ti and 3800x at 4.4ghz, 32gb RAM and a gen4 NVMe drive, looks pretty good for an old game and a solid 60fps all the way through.

Just tried it with the RT on, seems to run fine still, not using the latest drivers either, im still on the 496.49s.

I noticed in the options, that they've now added FSR 1.0, and it was on by default, so i turned that **** right off. :D

Hopefully if i finish work early enough il add these 4K textures to the new RT update and give the game a run through, see how it performs at 4k on my 6900xt.
If not tonight then Friday night.

Don't have Resi 7 (or Resi 2 remake) installed atm but how much visual difference does the RT make?

Is it just shadows / reflections or GI too?

Reflections like always make a biggest difference. RE engine ssr was always grainy and distracting.

After playing Metro EE im still a bit Meh ragarding RT, yes im on an AMD card so i had to scale it back to maintain 60fps but im not sure if i like the effect or not. I wonder if il feel the same way about RE7

I dont blame you beside Metro there is Control and Dying Light 2 so thats a three games i thought it made a difference. In RE case rt mode is more like cleaner image without ssr artifacts.

Dont get me wrong, the there are some amazing looking areas in MEE, its also a shame that much of that goes unnoticed as the player would be wearing the NVGs. Its just that at the same settings, other areas look a little over done, almost like strong HDR is being used.

Ok, i fired this up with the RT patch and the enhanced 4k textures, i only ran through a short sequence at the start when you get into the house and have a look around.
At 4k with max RT settings and all other settings at max eye candy i had a constant 60fps using ingame vertical Sync and Radeon Chill.
Does it look much better? Well things still look a little HDR but maybe later in the game i will see differences, as it is it looks very nice and performs very well.
I last played this on my OCed and OVed 1080Ti and there were a couple of places i had to lower the IQ as was dipping below 60fps.
