Nothing in the press release states its timed or any 'one shot' ridiculousness like RE2.
Just remembered the demos tomorrow, i hope its not a time limit either, like the RE2 Remake.
No time limit this time.
finished the demo on X1X , couldn't keep the frame rates to 55fps from what i can see it was around 45fps
looks really good in 4k HDR on X1X
Hearing reports that the blood and gore that was a disturbingly awesome feature of RE2 is considerably toned down in the demo. Very little to no dismemberment. That'd be a shame seeing as Capcom put so much effort into that particular feature. A deal breaker? Nope, course not, but it looks damn cool in RE2.
I do not see this demo on Steam yet for PC as of 12 PM EST.
Release time 5:00 PM UTC
Its up, its seperate from the main game page, search for the Resident Evil 3 Remake Demo
The demo is now available
6.3gb download size.
Looks great, plays great, is smooth AF at 1440p with all the bells and whistles on. However.... I think Nemesis is going to ruin things for me. I just.... I hate him!
There is some serious optimization in this game (This is a full demo run)
Everything on the highest possible at 130% res scale from 1080p and DX12
He isn't fun.
Denuvo in a free-to-play demo? Ouch.
Yeah runs and looks great, i just ramped it, 3440x1440 UW
Anyone else get the Steam Client service pop-up when starting to run it ? , i just say no, and the demo runs fine still.
The goofy design is what gets me but eh maybe it works out after a while.
Then again maybe not going by user screens from it so far.
Eh redesign or not hand over the weapon box and give those fancy parts!
EDIT: Well maybe a wee bit less goofy in normal gameplay admittedly, seems the save rooms are safe though he'll just wait outside.
EDIT: Suppose that's the reason the concept art had him wearing a helmet(?) poor guy looks like almost a bigger dick than Wesker ended up as in the later games.
Which I suppose makes up for not having one.
Gave him a sweet set of socks though!
EDIT: Could be worse though (Yeah this continues.) could be the Speedo-Tyrant again!
(Creds to the Umbrella team for covering up the weakpoint over time on these Tyrant things but they left the other one exposed heh.)
Or Sergei the proto tyrant behind Mister X / T-02 but that's a bit too suggestive for a picture so yeah Capcom went there already.
Weird thoughts aside wonder if the mod community will be picking up faster this time assuming the format is similar enough.
EDIT: And going right back I don't just mean the nude mods.
(As always though those are probably inevitable.)
People have used demos in the past to crack full releases.
And Denuvo is made specifically to protect games in their first few weeks of sales. It's not meant as a long term anti-piracy protection plan.
More as a front gate to keep things in check for the initial sales window.
This seemed ages away as well, will try this on the PC and the 1X to see which one looks/performs the best.
I remember not being particularity fond of this game, and Nemesis was just annoying but i will still try this out.
4K HDR 60 FPS looked great and played great and was too short
How fast is the huge guy!
Safe code took a bit finding
It runs absolutely perfectly so Denuvo doesn't really hurt.
I'll buy this game for sure!
Someone can tell how long the Demo is? More like 30 minutes? 1 hour, 2 hours?
They've done a very good job with Nemesis I must say. I'm gonna have a lot of fun with this game. I loved the original RE3. Not as much as RE2 but pretty close. If RE3 had two campaigns I would probably prefer it over RE2. After watching a full demo run stream yesterday I'm convinced that I'm going to prefer the RE3 Remake over the original RE3. And I was very close to preferring the RE2 Remake over the original RE2. However I still prefer the overall pacing of original RE2, and how both campaigns have more connections between each others.
But overall, I can't find anything not to be happy about. We're very lucky to be able to experience those games again with new standards and visuals. And jeebus am I hallucinating or is RE3 Remake looking even better than RE2 Remake did? The lightning in this engine is fantastic.
