I already posted it on geforce forums but wanted to post it here also cuz I see NVIDIA REP are here aswell, so it can have more view.

It is recorded with an external camera because I am forcing crashing the nvidia driver, so like this will avoid losing any information.
All the new drivers, from the last few months are doing the same, the last known driver that is free of these errors is 512.95, all the others are experiencing these problems

Steps to reproduce the issue with OCCT

    1) Run VRAM test with full memory capacity for only 1 minute
    2) You can wait for test to end, or you can just force ending after few seconds

Steps to reproduce the issue with Enemies Unity Engine Tech Demo

    1) Run the test and wait like 30 seconds
    2) When you see the woman on the screen and that thing on the floor is opening up, then you press ESC
    3) On the "Quality Preset" change this on Ultra or High then come back to medium
    4) On "medium quality" is where apparently the test crash, and is throwing all those issues

The issue is "nvlddmkm" event id 0 \Device\Video3 always this error, bunch of them.

***I tested it with 4 different PCs with different components and different Nvidia cards like 3060Ti, 3080 and 3090.

Some games, totally random it will freeze and crash with this error, but as it is random, I cannot found for now how exactly can be reproduced this issue on games.
I can be after few minutes, or after 5 hours of playing, or 1 time per month but it will occur.

For people who think they don't have this error, go to the windows event viewer and search for "nvlddmkm" event id 0, to see if over the last few months it has given you the error but you haven't noticed .

527.56 YES nvlddmkm errors event id 0 \Device\Video3

526.98 YES nvlddmkm errors event id 0 \Device\Video3

    512.95 NO nvlddmkm errors

    i bet you did.

This "Error" is triggered due to an illegal video pagefault, as a result of an Out of Memory event specific to D3D12 and Vulkan drivers.

Moral to the story, don't use all of the vram on a single application.

    Bump!!!

I can confirm this is true, my gpu started showing this error all the time in event viewer after I upgraded my drivers to latest, and this happen only when the gpu is in full use.

I bet if everyone check their event viewer the errors will be there and most people don't know it because
it doesn't really crash in most situations. I was searching for this all over and finally found this post of what I have been seeing for few days.

Do you think it will be fix in the next drivers update? Do you have any response in the nvidia forums?
I can't seem to find your post there or anything similar!

I had a couple of these while playing AC: Valhalla (DX12) on the newest drivers, maxed out. Can confirm that I started seeing these around 516.xx release.

New RTX 4070 Ti here. I get this error, If I run OCCT and start "3D Standard" test, let it run for some time (5 min) and then exit the test. There is a new error in Reliability Monitor (LiveKernelEvent 141) and in Event Viewer (nvlddmkm Event ID 0).

I just had this error yesterday for the last time. It occured after playing for a longer time (3 hours?) and I've had this like once a week since November.
Saw it first on October 27th, the day driver 526.47 was released. A coincidence?

I've had this error a few times while overclocking the system ram, once it was stable the errors stopped for me this was on my previous card (3080)

Within a couple of second should've been triggered by a Windows update I'd guess? At least that's my best explanation for it currently.
The singular incidents usually resulted in TDRs for me and I was able to solve these by going back to 522.25. Hopefully branch 530 works better for me.

I had this error today; I had played about an hour of Returnal then browsing some forums I had the black screen and once recovered I noted the error in event viewer. I also found this error reset my Precision X settings.

Going to disable hardware acceleration in the web browser for now as I think its related and re-enable in the 530 driver in hope it fixes it. I have been playing the latest games fine without errors.

Hey guys, check if you are using Discord's overlay. It was the cause of this crashes in my case, so it might help you as well.

    Hi guys,

unfortunately I have the same issue for a couple of days/weeks and I'm getting really annoyed by it. Whats important: The problem came with time, it wasn't present in the beginning.I tried to complete delete my gpu drivers with ddu and reinstall them fresh. I updated any other related drivers, too. It's always "nvlddmkm".

    My system components:

    Windows 11
    i9 12900 K
    EVGA 3080 TI
    32 GB DDR 5 RAM
    Silverstone L-Series 1000 Watt PSU

Here the error message (in german, sorry) but it's the same error code you guys have:

Die Beschreibung für die Ereignis-ID "0" aus der Quelle "nvlddmkm" wurde nicht gefunden. Entweder ist die Komponente, die dieses Ereignis auslöst, nicht auf dem lokalen Computer installiert, oder die Installation ist beschädigt. Sie können die Komponente auf dem lokalen Computer installieren oder reparieren.

Die folgenden Informationen wurden mit dem Ereignis gespeichert:

Thanks in advance for your help.

Yep the same problem occur with me after updating to 527.56 whether when Im idle on desktop, open Youtube or just open any browser, roll back to 527.37 and it didnt occur anymore. And of course I've tried updating my Mobo BIOS, turning off XMP, turning off reBAR and even enabling CSM but the issues still persist.

I wonder how many hardware need to be RMA-ed because of this.
