I currently own a ASUS Z87 PLUS and I noticed a weird bug, randomly if I try to boot from a USB device multiple times and then disconnect it from my PC, it will still show as a bootable device in the UEFI boot menu. Even after shutting down the system and even removing the power cord, the device is like stuck in the UEFI boot menu. And when this happens, this particular USB device will no longer be bootable even if its connected. The only option for me to get remove the device from UEFI is to reflash the firmware and reconfigure all my setting all over again which I don't think is a practical solution.

I just need to know if anyone has faced the same issue before and if there is a more faster method to clear non-present/not connected devices from the UEFI boot menu

Have you tried to load default settings?

... and to remove CMOS battery (instead of power cord)?

... and to contact the manufacturer?
