One my absolute favorite games and movie series (yup, watched all of it, Thing from Outer Space, The Thing and Prequel).

I just wonder how it compare some Reshade GI+SSR shader + PBR hires textures tweaks though...

Who would do this, or I could use this remix to make it my own?

Ignore the grain, it's just there to boost performance for testing.

But, this is GTA SA with path tracing. As always, still very much work in progress.

Honestly as much as I give Nvidia hate for being..well... Nvidia. This tech is without question the coolest, most awesome tech they have ever released! Its one of those moments where you could imagine everyone (even at Intel, AMD, etc) all collectively standing up and applauding. And its open source!!

Imho this has been an entirely useless gimmick so far, or what can you actually play with it without ship tons of issues?

You're completely missunderstanding what RTX Remix is and are probably expecting a drag and drop plugin like ReShade. RTX Remix will NEVER be that as it's a very involved modding tool for advanced users. Unless you know how game engines work and game development in general you're not going to get far with this.

There is immense amounts of feedback going back forth between NVIDIA and modders to get the most obscure games working with RTX Remix. This entire project is a huge undertaking, and it's going to take years before we see more releases like Portal RTX and Quake 2 RTX from unofficial sources.

The most impressive part about RTX Remix is that it allows games to be modded that were never moddable before. It's quite an insane piece of software as is, and it's still very very early days.

Nvidia announced it as something that would enable (experienced) modders to transform old games to RT visuals. I take your response as that it's still far from being there yet.

Is already possible to an extend, but currently time consuming as only the remix runtime is available. Once the actual modding tools are released a new chapter opens up and modders can get to work on updating models and what not.

Right now it's able to add path tracing, dlss and replace textures to DX8 and DX9 games.

Both Doom and Half-Life 1 have a ray tracing mod from the same person.

He has similar mods for Serious Sam and Quake 1 as well.

Nope, it's 16:9 and the logo on the back of the car is round as it should be.

True, but you look at the police car in the other picture it looks right.

It's just how how that car model is.

It could also be caused by the FOV change due to driving at high speed.
