It's their strategy, blatantly obvious too. It's sh*tty but status quo. I loved Redemption but with this Pavlov's dog bullsh*t they pull with PC (not just R*) I say they can keep their damn game.
I see people worrying it may be a bad port. PC gamers get shafted a lot. I get that. Question though. When has R* ever released a botched PC version? I honestly can't recall one.
If a Game is Developed on a PC, how can they have trouble making a PC Version? Let alone having to Port it if it was already made on PC.
Personally i will not be buying it on console. I did that with GTA 5 and it ruined the whole experience for me. I did story on PS3 then couldnt be bothered to play it properly once it came out on PC. Shame, i love RDR but wont support this practice. Will only buy it on PC if it ever comes out
GTA4. LA Noire. Bully had some pretty annoying issues at release. Manhunt 2 had problems. People are thinking because of GTAV Rockstar can only do amazing PC releases. Which, hopefully GTAV is a sign of how the platform will be handled from now on. But... that hasn't always been the case. It's actually a rather new development. From Max Payne 3 to GTAV, those have been R*'s best PC releases. Everything before was a mix of horrible performance issues, crashes, bugs and various other issues. Hell, having gotten GTA3 and Vice City at release on PC, I can say they had their share of bugs and problems (including performance ones) when they came out.
offcourse gta 4 and LA noire, unoptimized as it can be, i remember stuttering in LA noire, and gta 4 couldn't even run a dual core cpu...but fantastic job done in max payne 3 and gta v.
And both Max Payne 3 and GTAV were made by different Rockstar studios. But, hopefully both titles show a desire on Rockstar's part to deliver better PC products. I remember after GTA4 a lot of people were on the fence about giving Max Payne 3 a chance on PC.
yes because gta 4 was such an arse to run, couldn't even run it back then on dual core cpu, which was totally unacceptable.
Yeah. I got it at release, but had to wait a while before I could even run it. And even then, it ran so badly and crashed so often... I shelved it until even more patches were released.
Developing it on a PC doesnt mean they do it for a PC, pc its just the most comfortable device to write text
GTAV was a pain, I bought it on Xbox360 as they said it won't come up on the newer Generation...then it got released and "remastered" on the new Console Generation..then on PC as well, I passed on it as I am not spending 2-3 times the almost same Money for the same game just to have better graphics but same gameplay. I actually wanted to buy it on the PC but I hear only that a lot of hackers are playing multiplayer, so I pass on it. I will buy RDR2 on Console but only on the Console. I just installed RDR on my Xbox One and will Play it soonish as I never kinda finished the game (which sucks).
:funny: oh well, I'm sure it will be great game anyway. I have stopped getting so invested in waiting for games to release. Too many other things to play, to many delays, to many **** day ones. I'll get interested a week before launch.
It's not problem for me I can wait for the PC if there'll never release for the PC then I won't play it... in 2010 RDR came out I waited 2 years then nothing happened. And I didn't play. That how it works for the PC Master Race! I don't touch any sh*ty console or its gamepad for the R* game.
