Well i'm almost at the end game. I've just reached the epilog 2, and wow this game is epic in every sense of the word. Can't believe how good the storyline is. Love the characters, the goodies and baddies. It's just such a well made game. The most amazing thing is it was originally a console game and with this much depth. Anyone who loves open world games with a great back story and quest lines should absolutely play this. I'd rank it right up there with The Witcher 3 and Assassin's Creed Odyssey as the best i've played. Can't wait to see how it ends. On a side note, please Rockstar bring RDR3 to the PC if you ever get around to making it.
I'd like them to bring RDR1 to pc ! And agree with everything else you said, it's right up there with witcher 3.
Yeah it's an incredible game. I played it for the first time last year all the way through on the One X, I can't wait to get round to it again on PC.
I'm getting an occasional crash while viewing weapons in the gunsmith. The PC hard locks, nothing can be done apart from switching it off and on again. Is this a known issue or do I have an overclocking instability? The PC seems totally stable otherwise but then they always do until you find that special case which exposes some weakness... I'm going to start reverting the overclocks...
Thanks, your instincts were correct! Almost straight after posting, I remembered that somewhere I read that too high ring cache ratio causes hard locks. It was set at 48, so I've dropped it to 47. I've been testing since and fingers crossed, it seems to have fixed it. Sorry for the slightly pointess thread!
Does anyone know of a fps overlay that actually works with this game ? Running the game off the R* launcher, tried adding the game to my steam library as a non-steam game and using the steam overlay which didn't work, tried good old fraps which didn't work, tried the xbox game bar which showed resource usage but not fps, tried MSI afterburner but this wouldn't work either although I admit it could have been me not being 100% on how to configure afterburner.
I used the Nvidia overlay to display the fps but it crashes the game randomly. Same with GtaV, this engine really hates overlays it seems
Thanks guys, I got the steam overlay working in the end, turns out I had to add the rockstar launcher to steam too and then the fps counter worked.
Hello Guys, I'm trying to play RDR2 for 3 days. cant fix this crazy problem. GPU Utilization is only 40-70% so is CPU. No bottlenecks. game runs of SSD, 32GB RAM... All other games are running proper FPS and this, in vulkan, DX12, windowed, fullscreen, doesnt matter same result low FPS and low utilization is driving me crazy
266 processes running in background? I can only imagine how much bloatware and crap you have installed and starting on your PC. You might also want to restart your PC. A clean restart, not hibernation or sleep.
thanks for suggestion. its just a screenshot of laptop specs (wasn't taken during gameplay). 0 bloatware, processes are under 200 mostly and have 0 utilization. the problem is only with RDR2. FH5, Cyberpunk, RE Village, Far Cry 6 all running smooth 0 problems. Need specific RDR2 suggestions please.
as soon as you put stress it goes to x8 3.0 mode, also not an issue. once again we need RDR2 specific thing, not global. 0 problems with other titles....
