Is anyone really shocked by this? GTAO shows exactly where Rcokstar's priorities lie. - Glitches and bugs only get fixed when they can be directly linked to players exploiting the game to make money. Otherwise they either never get fixed or get a passing look at in one of the DLCs updates which in turn usually results in something else getting broken. - If it doesn't make Rcokstar money then they aren't going to support it. The settings and location for GTAO allowed Rcokstar free reign to release a lot of questionable cr*p. Flying cars, rocket bikes, etc. They could release 10 statistically identical cars with different body work and people would buy them. The setting for RDR2 simply does not allow the same level of 'expansive content', let alone the level oif BS meme content that GTAO got at least not without Rcokstar breaking the immersion of the game's setting. The guy in the video stated he wanted more roleplay like content for RDR2, that was something that I wanted for GTAO. The example I thought of was pink slip street races between players, several players would race round a predefined street circuit in freeroam while other players would do things like distract and hold off cops. You would gain recognition or rep for wins and how you behaved in races or for assisting in races which in turn would result in a larger game league table of sorts. What we got were god awful stunt races. My pink slip races would have taken real work and testing and a level of dedication to integrate the system and make it work correctly with in the game world as well as actually sorting the race mechanics and car classification, what we got could have been thrown together by a five year old in 10 minutes and didn't require any of the existing issues with racing or car classification to be fixed, but it did introduce a new bug in to the game so their is that at least.
