Personally i think everything after Arthur's story is a fan service to those pc players who never witnessed the masterpiece that was RDR1.
Only wish we would be able to enter Mexico. I miss those red rocks.

Hello there, I was testing the performance of this game with Afterburner and I noticed the video card never uses more than 85-90% of its power. I'm getting close to 60fps now with current settings, would be smooth 60 if the video card were using 100% of its power. Anyone has this problem too? Thanks.

Check your CPU use on each core.

Using Vulkan at the moment, with Dx12 performance is a little lower with practically the same usage. In-game benchmark in both pics I uploaded. Forgot to mention that the cpu is running @4.5Ghz. Overclocking the GPU also doesn't change the power usage, but I get 3-5 more fps.

    Thanks anyway.

Can't believe how long it took me to complete this game. Being honest i felt it was really dragged out, grew sick of following around NPC from point A to B.

That's because the scope of the whole game basically is just 'following the gang and witnessing it falling apart'.

And i felt the same way when i finished it on ps4. Rdr1 was way more fun imo because you were free to do whatever you wanted.

Btw i would suggest trying online freeroam if the SP story bores you out. Just set yourself to Defensive and enjoy the collector role (treasure hunter basically) and short story coop missions.

I dont know what happened but everytime I spawned into the game online, I exploded and flew across the screen. I had to exit the game and restart it.

So having played this on PS4 and seeing how good it looks on PC I caved yesterday and got it through steam.

I am running everything maxed out expect for MSAA which is x2 on Vulkan and getting a very smooth experience.

It is even more beautiful than what it was on the PS4. Kicking myself for not waiting to play it on PC first, but I admit I sort of rushed through it on PS4, so now I will invest my time on more side missions and really soaking up the world.

Little update on my RDR2 parser: I've finished the campaign and have no interest in the multiplayer, so I'm going to reclaim the disk space.
I don't expect the XML format to change drastically in the future, but if something breaks in the parser, feel free to poke me with an updated XML file and I'll do my very best to fix :)

    Have fun, cowboys!

Have you tried to check gpu usage? I posted here before but nobody else tested.

It plays great on my clocked 1080ti and clocked 6700K with 3600MHz ram, most settings maxed @ 1080p. (a quick test on my monitor cos the TV is in use but I play this game at 1080p anyway to keep gfx quality up)
With vsync off I was getting around 65fps avg and 92% GPU use. CPU wasnt maxed on any core.
vsync on at 60Hz is smooth as butter.
