I'm using Lennys trainer too to keep busy while waiting for the Alex Blade trainer to get updated. Lennys has only a few more files in the installation, 8 total including the directory, not a hassle.

Have you run the benchmark many times to see how much the actual results vary?

I decided to do it while watching TV, damn its a long benchmark!

I did 8 runs as follows with Vulkan at 1080p on a 1080ti,Vsync off.
All settings maxed except only TAA, no motion blur and texture quality = high:

    Min ... Max ... Avg
    1) 21.1762, 101.307, 60.1279
    2) 30.8156, 92.5279, 60.1169 - one horse lived, cart crashed into a tree
    3) 29.5173, 80.7625, 59.9575
    4) 24.1756, 93.6955, 59.7837 - one horse lived
    5) 26.8813, 82.2940, 59.754
    6) 28.4932, 82.2422, 59.675
    7) 24.8563, 81.7526, 59.7893
    8) 27.4064, 88.9193, 59.7965

Ignoring the first 3 results as my gfx card warmed up:
Minimums and maximums vary a little too much but are tight enough to show differences say between DX12 and Vulkan.
Max variance of min = 17.9%
Max variance of max = 14.6%

Averages are very tight, with a max variance of 0.2%
I'm happy to accept single Avg results once the hardware is fully warmed up, and the minimums as a guide.

Follow-up to this... Vulkan does NOT run good for me. It's very noticeable. Despite my benchmark results I feel like there are bigger FPS dips on vulkan when I am playing online. The game does not feel 'smooth'. Something is definitely off and it's not subtle. When I switch back to DX12 it goes away.

I just find it so odd even with other people who have 2080 Ti there are these inconsistencies between vulkan and DX12.

Is it just me or since the last patch the game runs a little worse in terms of fps.

Also do you have water shimmering when you put refraction to low?

Water shimmering, yes, i have it since i started playing the game, i dont know exactly what setting is causing this but im using low reflection and never changed it, so if you say so..

If your game runs worse after the patch, try deleting the cache files, it helps.

I made the switch to DX12 with triple buffering from Vulkan .AMD 3800X,Nvidia RTX 2080 with Vulkan I notice a judder once in awhile with the 1% lows going to low.

Switching to DX12 has lower average FPS but the experience with the triple buffer on is smooth and a pure pleasure to play.DX12 triple buffer on to prevent DX12 droping FPS to 30 every time going into menu or alt tab.Even in Saint Denis with all its glory and dropping FPS is still smooth going.

How do you see your playtime anyway? I looked at all the options the game gives you at the menus but theres only a playtime section for RDO (if you are in RDO) not the Singleplayer. I dont own the Epic Version and even when you see your playtime at the client, i already played a lot of RDO.

I reached Chapter 5 a few minutes ago.

You gotta use the Rockstar Game Launcher

Settings / Then RDR2 / Scroll to the bottom

Ah ok, thanks. It says 174 hours but of course with RDO playtime included. So i have to exclude it to find out my Singleplayer playtime...

    Singleplayer so far: 82 hours
Red Dead Online so far: 92 hours

96+ hours for me so far, all in singleplayer.... and I still have not advanced the story past unlocking the fence in Chapter 2. I am not using mods or cheats either. Let's just say I'm getting my money's worth and then some. :)

I'm very early in the game and have spent probably 6hrs playing poker lol.

During gameplay it has been crash free but I had a terrible time yesterday trying to change settings and benchmark.
I can do anything I like at 1080p or 1440p but when at 4K, certain setting changes cause blue screens, others crash as the game tries to apply the settings resulting in the exe becoming hung.
I couldnt even change to lower res, it would crash each time with the settings not applied on the next run!
To proceed I had to edit the ini to lower res, load game, make changes then change back to 4K.
Even touching motion blur was an immediate BSD at 4K res.
