I'm using the latest Forceware drivers from the nvidia site. I'm curious if some modified drivers can improve the performance. Some suggestion?

I would just try some out and see what you think. No modded driver is going to do miracles though i do know that.

I prefer a good OC instead of look for optimized drivers.

i have GF 8600 GT and I get really bad graphics, even with ancient games, like GTA Vice City. I generally have problems when drawing distance. Games with more "static" graphics, like Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 work fine.

For example, when i try to play Crysis, trees and buildings appear and disappear while i move in the map.

    HELP !!!

XF 177.70 drivers were an amazing experience here; I noticed a great improvement in DMC4 and AoE3 and also some bugs were fixed.
Gonna try the 177.70 modded by Side now... downloading :pc1:...

I had recommended the 170.70, they were great for me. But the 177.73 are online now, and they are even better. Would give them a try if I were you.

Wouldn't that, err, make it slower?

And I'm pretty sure there aren't any quadro cards based on the 8600. There's the FX 3700, based on the G92, but there isn't a G92 in the 8600 is there?

I might be wrong I went straight from a 5900XT to the new 200 series, so I'm not too savvy with the 7/8 series.
