my fiance is really addicted to Bejewled 2, shes wanting to try out other fun games similar i guess. i know she enjoys slot machines, so i may get her a casino game. Any suggestions for casual games that could be addictive? i'm trying to encourage her game playing, keeps her out of my ass about me playing my games. It has to be really simple and probably "blingy" or she may lsoe interest
If you want to keep her busy semi-permanently then get her hooked on WOW. You might not even have to talk to her for the next 2-5 years.
yeah wow is very addictive but it seems like he wants something more straight forward...? Maybe something in the wii department? they have some games like bowling, exercise and other stuff. Or maybe the sims? or sims the city building game? spore?
well bejeweled Twist is out, also Peggle thats quite addictive and Plants v Zombies is pretty fun too, all of these are Popcap games! Vegas Tycoon, its quite old, but quite a fun tycoon game, or just get her on facebook there are tones of silly wee games that she`d probably love, farmville, socialcity, zyanga poker etc etc..
Audiosurf? simple, fun and addictive and she'll want to try all her mp3s, that should keep her away for a while lol
i'm sure there's a Worms (Armaggedon) pack you can find online. The Worms games were ace. Very addictive and great for a quick half hour of teeth grinding fun, fighting the wind to get the cluster bombs to explode in the right place. Can't win? Send in the sheep! If you're not familiar with the gameplay it's a 2D type game that's a few years old that makes you use your head, like those brain trainer things on the Nintendo DS. You have to take out an opposing team and there are several weapons at your disposal. It depends on what your partner wants in a game. Gorgeous Crysis graphics or superior gameplay that requires intelligent tactics to makes you laugh and punch the air when you win. My sister used to enjoy throwing grenades and causing the opposing team members to fall into the water. I played it on a console where at least one of the Worms games lets you play with four players. The Worms games were always meant to be played with friends so you should be okay if you want to go head to head. Also, check out Steam for lots of really cheap indie games like World of Goo. One of my friends says it was a great buy and he really recommends it. Try youtube for gameplay videos of Worms and World of Goo. Good luck on finding some games your lady likes.
Lately I've been playing Mad Skiils Motocross, very fun, and very easy to just start playing. The demo offers a couple of tracks, which should be enough to give you a good idea of gameplay before buying. Recommended to anyone who loved Excitebike on NES and hasn't played flash motorcycle jump games to death (since this is basically like one of those games on steroids, minus the puzzle aspect).
I just got Torchlight yesterday off of steam, it has 75% off at the moment so was only £3.50.. Its very simple and addictive and has a "Netbook" mode to run on netbooks.. Its like a simplified, single-player version of WoW with loot, quests and dugeon raiding.. So I recommend it if nobody already has HyBrId
The top-down play style, random levels and hp/mana system style is, but i'm going by the inventory screen, the question "!" icons and such, gem socketed items, green, blue etc items and the three skill/talent trees.. Also the art style is similar to WoW, those rat men and spiders definitely look like Kobolds and the spiders from the human game beginning... HyBrId
+1 if she's anything like my gf then she will get addicted to the Sims 2. It's all fun and games when she makes a game version of you two, until her toon leaves you or you die, and she runs off with the neighbour and has kids... :wanker:
Popcap, gamehouse, reflexive arcade.. lot's of games like bejeweled there to find.. Some can be really addicting
Audiosurf, World of Goo, Worms, Geometry Wars & even The Secret of Monkey Island are all easy to pick up & play. Really there's too many to list from companies like PopCap Games, but Zuma is a great one thoough.
My mum likes to play games like Spyro the Dragon, or Crash Bandicoot. Then bug the hell out of me when she can't get past a certain boss/task.
