Can anyone gimme advice on which of these boards is best for a Core 2 Duo E6600? I'm looking for a FSB of 400 so I can have an OC to 3.6ghz which is a 1:1 ratio with my pc6400 ram. Also I definately want SLI or Crossfire, not too much preference which. The ASUS P5W64 WS Professional or the ASUS P5W DH Deluxe would offer the best overclocking ability. They offer similair performance. Asus P5W DH Deluxe Review Asus P5W64-WS Professional Review
The AW9D MAX provides excellent overclockability as well. It might just end up better than the Asus' boards when they get the bugs sorted. It has a max MCH voltage of 2v!
see sig. easily modded if you need to, IDCC makes OCing piece of cake, I've seen ppl getting insane FSB. It's very stable, but i t doesn't have ASUS' F1 to recover bios settings when you go too far... It's xf ready not sli. I get 3.0 GHz on stock Vcore, some got it to 3.2, 3.3 on stock Vcore. I hadn't tried it yet
Another vote for Abit AW9D-Max, from my experience ASUS card are not what they used to be, you see a good model in some review, you buy one and it sux 4 you, it's gambling , if you'r a lucky quy you could try ASUS if not stay away from them
I ordered an ecs micro atx mobo form new egg that has a fsb speed of 1066 at least that's what it says the fsb speed is on the mobo box.
