as far as i aware they are not I have manual change every time I update drivers.

IF after a fresh install DEvice manager>resources by connection says # it not MSI mode if it says -# its in msi mode.

and Nividia>system information has listed irq as none for very long time for me across many drivers and win7 and now win 10

Trust me man, I've tried everything. Remove OC, underclock, G-sync off/on, multiple NVCPL settings...nothing helps. Its some other driver disturbing something, maybe timings...idk.

you tried all stock with only drivers suggested on the official mobo website? no special IMEI drivers, special intel inf versions, etc. just go with manufacturer recommended stuff. turn on full OSD monitoring while gaming, gpu, cpu, RAM, everything. when its starts stuttering something must be happening that logs from system monitor apps will catch. it can't be stuttering out of thin air.

as i said before, its the nvidia driver. the new ones are the cause of the hitching. i monitored and came to the conclusion

    Theres nothing i can do.

Its all good tho, im on 347.25 and most games are playable on this version except the witcher 3. From experience, nvidia makes atleast one good driver a year. all the way back from 314.22 i remember this.

I'll be on 347.25 until nvidia makes the next best driver that performs excellent in all games without hitching or stutter and i wont forget to keep you guys updated until then. I test every driver so if a new one meets that mark.. i'll update to suite.

So far the best drivers i know they made so far is 314.22 and 347.25.

I have said there is nothing but I still haven't given up.

So far I've being doing a series of tests and nailed it to the dpc latency for the hitching with the drivers. Nvidia has raised the dpc significantly higher with the latest drivers while it's really low with 347.25.

I plan on trying a low dpc setup to understand more on the abnormal hitching. When and if I figure it out I'll return with answers.

Oh boy do nba2k16 and Soma suffer some nasty hitching/stuttering. I don´t remember a point in time where so many new games came out with this problem, can´t be a coincidence, something needs fixing.

My friend was using latest drivers and was getting stuttering with gtx970+win7. 347.25 seems to have helped him aswell.

    Unfortunately, I'm already running win 10 x64.

What is the best drivers for win 10 with minimal hitching/stutter?

    I'm using a gtx 970.

The cause of most stuttering/crashing in Windows 10 64-bit is related to running out of virtual memory (page file).
I recommend setting a high static page file to alleviate this problem.
Anywhere between 16GB and 24GB should be more than sufficient.

Personally I have no crashing or stuttering issues with the 355.xx drivers in Windows 10.

16-24GB page file? Hell no! 512-1024MB (for 12+GB RAM) MUST be enough unless you are working with virtual computers or huge multimedia files.

Page file should always be left to Windows managed. You can turn it off, but there will either be weird glitches/errors in mainly older titles, or no increase in performance at all besides placebo feeling good about freeing up 3GB of HDD space.

    some games still use pagefile.

but some use more for some reason(dying light when playing at 4k)

for some stupid reason on my system, windows managed sets page file really small.

    Which games?
I never seen any use it, only check for it, Windows manages how the memory pool is allocated and will prefer physical memory over virtual memory, so unless your low on memory....

Windows managed will have a baseline smaller size to start with, but should increase it if needed.

If you have 8+ gigs of ram, which I assume most of us here have. Then on an SSD use a pagefile from 200MB-2GB and on an HDD use 2GB fixed. The reason is this, on the SSD you want the pagefile to move around for wear-leveling and on the HDD you want it fixed so it doesn't fragment and slow down.

    Remember commited uses page file

For example GTA v for me at high resolution and syserm usage is at 15gb memory and 10gb commited

If the page file was smaller . The game would of crashed

Had Same problem with dying light

This discussion been going on for long time now

Sounds like there is a deeper issue with your OS install.
