realtek onboard mayhem

    i have a p5k e motherboard in my p.c with a realtek soundcard
    builld in .
    my sound sucks its stottering scratches from the start (windowswelcome.wav) and i heard that it is no good:banana:
    the newer the drivers the more troubles .....am i the only one?:nerd:

    First, connect a pair of headphones and determine if it is the onboard sound or just your speakers/connection.
    I have a P5K and had no troubles with it.
    But then I upgraded by disabling the onboard and replacing it with an Asus Xonar D1 for about 100 bucks CDN

    Yeah, my Realtek onboard (Asus P5K-WS) worked quite well. I likewise upgraded to an Auzentech sound card, and never looked back.
