So I am still torn between getting the 5930k or the 4790k. I would consider getting the 5820k as well. I have the money to upgrade to the 5930k, so that is not an issue. I want to be able to play games, stream games, and play games that rely on the cpu. Example: the Witcher 3 is going to require a 4790 to reach 60fps at 1080p. I heard that it is a cpu bound game in some areas. Regardless, I want to be able to stream smoothly playing any game and have good performance for the next 3-4 years. How can I go wrong with the 5930k? I just want to make sure to get the right thing for me.

Also I was just playing CSGO while trying to stream and 720p 45fps. It brings my CPU to its knees. I need super smooth game play for that ****!

5820k. 5930k is a waste of money unless you are doing a quad setup

If you go with up to two GPUs and either M2 or SataExpress, you're fine with the 5820K. I personally wouldn't get the 4790K unless you're seriously looking to cut the budget a bit and invest the money in a new GPU or something similar.

I wouldn't go for the 4790k from your 3570k because it isn't much of an upgrade the only thing you are getting 4 more threads. Id go for the 5820k because you are getting 2 extra cores and 8 extra threads which will really help with streaming and getting a new graphics card wouldn't hurt either at some point down the road.

I was faced with the same decision a few months ago. I went with the i7 5820K and an Asus X99-A board. Right now, DDR4 prices have come down and become more competitive. I would suggest the same route...has a lot more power and six cores and 12 threads DO make a difference...

Yeah, if you have twin graphics cards and the right slot layout on your MB, you can run one at x16 and the other at x8 and overclock the crap out of the 5820k if you like. only thing th 5930k gets you is the other card at x16.

Do you play more game that cpu heavy? that need more STP? if so the 4790k if you play games that actual multi thread and program to use those cores then the 5930k.

4790k is currently the STP king at stock speeds

Hey thanks for all the replies, sorry it took me awhile to respond I was working 12 hours lol. Anyway, I will go with the 5820k I think. I might get 2 cards eventually but I am waiting for the 980ti or whatever it is to upgrade. a regular 980 is not that much of a step up from a 780ti for me to buy one right now. I need that 980ti so bad! Thanks guys I will go with the 5820k.
