"The OLDER one" probably forgot about everything except "still supporting NV" and "still staying strong and defend at all costs"....
You need to excuse him as he is "only" a grumpy old NV fanboy that doesn't remember the grilling of the grill (FERMI) :rolleyes:o_O

And btw it is a really nice compliment from @itpro to call me a younger one, thanks ! But even if you can't remember everything and are loosing the touch with reality, you still are important! Even when grumpy, old and has sclerosis :D

I just state the obvious. RTX 2060S and a mere I5 8400 combo shouldn't equal or beat a mid range RDNA 2 gpu with 8 core zen cpu combination. We will see soon, if it is only a console thing. I cannot stop being nervous.

AMD Radeon RX 6800 (Non-XT) 16 GB Graphics Card Benchmarked in Basemark, Faster Than The GeForce RTX 3070

AMD Radeon RX 6800 overclocked to 2.5 GHz
    https://videocardz.com/newz/amd-radeon-rx-6800-overclocked-to-average-2-5-ghz

According to the screenshot posted by CapFrameX on Twitter, the upcoming cut-down Navi 21 XL graphics card will overclock to an average of 2532 MHz. The sensor statistics visible in the screenshot reveal that the GPU clock has been oscillating between 2462 MHz to 2553 MHz. The graphics card has a reference boost clock of 2105 MHz.

The screenshot also confirms that the Radeon RX 6800 in this particular test has an average power draw of 208W, with a peak at 269W. An average temperature of 60C has been recorded, but it reaches 63C probably at the end of the very short test (appears to be 60 seconds).

AMD Radeon RX 6800 (Non-XT) 16 GB Graphics Card Benchmarked in Basemark, Faster Than The GeForce RTX 3070
The graphics card was tested with the latest 27.20.14501.1206 driver that supports Big Navi. The testing platform features Ryzen 9 3900X (12-core processors) with MSI MEG X570 GODLIKE motherboard. What you might not know is that this is one of the four confirmed motherboards to support Smart Access Memory technology at launch. Meaning, we are definitely looking at a result from a reviewer who might be testing said technology.

AMD Radeon RX 6800 scored 14635 points using the DirectX12 API (the software tests Vulkan, DX12, and OpenGL APIs using the same benchmark scene). This score is actually lower than GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, but still better than Geforce RTX 3070. Again, this is the 60CU variant of Big Navi, so the slower in the series.

I had per ordered a Tuf RTX 3080 OC but I was waiting for 1.5 month and Nvidia being stingy on the Vram 10 Gig come on! So as far as I can see now the RX6800XT looks very good Maybe it's switching time from team green to team red we will see in 3 days ;)

^^ Same with me, no stock + far less VRAM, it seems i will stick to ATI for another generation.

Powercolor has come a long way. Devil 6800xt will be a beast. There is other tipical (i go both ways) gigabyte, asus, msi that are also good but going with amd card sapphire is always the best choice.

Sapphire Nitro+ will be better for sure, not much but still.
One thing we need to know is what quatities RX6xxx will have ;)
100-200k GPUs should cover initial sales.

I will wait for reviews, then i will decide.
    I need max of 68deg. C. so AMD/ATI i will get (in first 5min :p)
If not, then i will wait for Nitro+ or Toxic.
2nd thing is BIOS flashing, it's easier to flash 6900XT to 6800XT original AMD one than AIBs.

    Reality check:
GTX 480 is some 15% faster than HD 5870. But came half a year later and did had 25% higher MSRP. And on top of that GTX 480 ate some 30% more power.
Pushing selective benchmark instead of real world gaming results only shows how inflated nVidia's perception been due to benchmark focus.

All taken into consideration HD 5870 was better buy.
It depends if you want to cap your GPU at around 300W, or go nVidia's way and OC hell out of it even if it means ~400W.

    ^^ I still have 1440p 74Hz Monitor (10Bit w/FreeSync 30-75)
So i need Efficient gaming with UV and Our other Tweaks (like Mem Tweak etc.)

Playing BFV on Vega averages in ~60-70tW (Peak at ~150-160tW)
So i will be Playing BFV with Average of 20-30tW* (Toping at max. of 90tW) with new RDNA2 :p -> Hmm maby even less...

You know, UV then Un-Oc to maintain 70FPS ;)
Im waiting for Mini-Led or OLED monitors, then i will switch to some 160-200Hz 1440p.

    * I will do test to see how exact im now.....

Thats why Onna has the first 3 posts reserved. When tweaks and mods come, you will find them there.

Meanwhile, as you say, its a wannabe owner thread.

This is how it starts. Tests and benchmarks will come dont worry. Im sure there will be plenty rx6000 owners. We dont come to ampere threads asking silly questions if there is no need for it. We actually dont care compared to some. ;)

What users? You mean those lucky few rich kids with their 2000$ video cards. Now that was rude.

    Calm yourself three days left.
