I was thinking 6700xt 12gb 400-500$ in march...one can hope.
Sorry I was looking at a different model , I like the XFX MERC best , that's 1399 .
I pulled the trigger. As there was only one option for me, Amazon, I took 6800xt xfx merc319...for 1050e. Ridiculous price, but day earlier was cheaper. Just there are none shops where I can buy anything outside Ireland. Mindfactory sells Germany only. Amazon.uk/scan.co.uk have now import fees and taxes.
I hope low GPU usage in dx11 games is finally solved, I will be furious if again, as with radVII, will have like 600Mhz clocks with crappy 25-60Fps, while in VR...
Don't be hard on yourself, we're in uncharted waters right now and i personally ain't calling anyone out for what they choose to spend on something to make their days that bit brighter.
Well thank you
Will try. Bad thing is, that I have cumulation now...ordered in October Reverb g2 is supposed to arrive 2nd Feb(card debited yesterday for 700e), 6800 xt just today, but...debited today, AAAND I ordered in December stupidly 9900K from ebay for 350e, and it seems missing in post...That can be retrieved, by paypal...unless it finally arrive, but it was due previous Friday.
Must be careful now with CC bill pays. Wife insist on savings...
Jeez, and here I was thinking I'd paid a high price for my Sapphire Nitro+ RX 6900 XT! It cost me about 1101e and I was already fuming that I'd had to pay that amount to snag that card. But regardless, the MERC319 is a beautiful card and should satisfy your gaming fix. I'd actually preordered a MERC319 RX 6900 XT from Amazon, but due to me lowering my CC limit, and Amazon for NOT contacting me when they failed to charge the sum from my card, my preorder was pushed back to the following batch (which the Amazon rep, whom I'd spoken with, can't say when that would be), I canceled my preorder in a huff, but only because a BNIB Sapphire Nitro+ 6900 XT happened to show up. HAD Amazon NOT messed up, I'd have received the MERC319 by now....so, to Amazon, I'd say this, "SCREW YOU!"
Regardless, the RX 6000 top end cards are monsters, now I can play all my games at max ingame setting (without RT, a nice added feature to have, but not quite there yet in terms of native 4K or even 1440P RT), my 6900XT should tide me over for a couple of generations till, hopefully, GPU from nVidia and AMD become powerful enough to handle RT at native res of 4K/1440P for ALL RT games without the need for DLSS. As for this year, I don't plan to upgrade my GPU, but, I'm keen to replace my 3900X with a 5900X/5950X since my mobo can support those.
Finally managed to get hold of a 6800XT (Red Devil) this week after patiently waiting like what seems forever.
Paid too much for it (especially considering 99% of my gaming is Rocket League) but had a christmas bonus burning a hole in my pocket and thought my vega56 deserved a graceful retirement.
There is a way to extract and flash the BIOS now (extract the full 1024kB file). There is ativbflash version 3.15 which works with new cards and comes bundled with Gigabyte's RGB Fusion software.
There were guys already flashing the 6900xt to 6800xt and it seems that the OC limit has been bumped to 3000MHz however seems there were problems with the voltages sticking to low values (1,018 V) and also the GPU clock defaults to 500MHz, however can be increased manually.
BUT - the name 6800xt remains, no CUs unlocked, and even after restoring back to the original BIOS it seems there are some leftovers as the voltage seem to stick to the low levels, so for now --- no point in flashing the 6900xt bios over the 6800xt.
I got XFX reference 6800XT in early November for 999€ and was thinking maybe I did bad decision not waiting until January thinking prices will come down but they got even higher.
On the other hand the crazy GPU prices helped me to sell my Radeon VII on eBay for 610€.
So 999€ for Radeon 6800XT did not hurt much.

I went for 5800X from 3700X. My computer is mostly used for gaming and 5900X/5950X would have been overkill.
Getting hands on one of these CPUs for reasonable price is a challenge at the moment.
I got mine for 450€ as tray version from Alternate back in November. They provided also Far Cry 6 coupon with it.
I was surprised that I was able to sell my used 3700X for 280€ on eBay.
So my 5800X and 6800XT upgrade cost me 559€ taking into account that I sold my Radeon VIII and 3700X for 890€.
Finished my build. Mostly.. LOL.
Nice one. EPDM tubing? Plan to use that on my next build as well.
That is a dank setup. Love that gpu score.
I got my RX 6800XT too (reference) on PCDiga Portugal, for 674.90€

ATITool v3.15 :
6900xt bios to 6800xt is flashable now but there is still some issues like voltage stuck at 1.018v as far as i understood?
So, It's pointless?
