6800xt capped to 2750mhz in reality because if you set max freq to 2800mhz it will always boost to 2750mhz. 2950mhz should be max for the 6900xt but none of them able to reach this level anyway.

Unfortunately this is the max you can get from 6800xt:

Small non scientific list for gain from OC vs stock for Rx 6900 xt. Max settings used wherever possible and usual crap running in background.

@Godhand007 without SAM I suppose judging from your profile information? (i7 8700 CPU).

Yes. On a side not, does someone know how to fix idle high mem clocks on Navi 21 GPUs. This card is supposed to be faster than a 2080ti which I had previously. Can't image it requiring high mem clocks on desktop (1440p 144 Hz) when 2080ti didn't.

Quickest fix is to switch to 120Hz.
Or play with CRU and set timings of your preferred resolution to standard LCD timings. (I'm 100% not sure what timing needs to be set, you gonna need to try it).
But you may need to lower a frequency a little (like 140Hz) to make it stable, depends on how LCD will handle it.

Yeah, forgot add that 120hz works fine. Don't wanna fiddle with CRU at the moment but thanks for the info. I have submitted a bug report to AMD for this, other owners should do the same..

Tested on water chiller at -21c , max clocks were 2850/2150Mhz at 1.35v + power limit set to 500w on morepowertool , i tried to run this card on single stage but it has issues when going cold , cold boot bug . Got me first place at hwbot on water chiller :D

@chispy this is interesting, you can set 1.35V on gpu voltage? as 1.15V is maximum for 6800XT.

Yeah... Just read the response of amdmatt and you will know that it was a waste of time sending a bug report. You will need to change the vertical blanking. I had to do the same for my monitor.

Can you point me in the right direction regarding "vertical blanking". What impact does this have in general from stock settings for monitors?
About comment from Amd community manger, I think with Navi 21 we can expect a better response from AMD driver team. We shall see.

2k over my max score, nice. Would like to see what you are able to achieve for 24/7 OC. MPT is a great tool.

Yes with morepowertool it can be done easily. Stock max voltage for my 6900xt is 1.17v but is not enough voltage for 2800+ Mhz , only when i added 1.35v and raise the power limit to 500w i was able to stabilize 2800+ Mhz , this is a non-reference pcb 3x8 power plug , cooling is very important as it goes hand to hand with the clocks and stability. 2900Mhz is doable with 1.45v but it is pushing it too hard and the vrm got extremely hot so i stop there as i do not feel like pushing 1.50v for 3000Mhz very risky and it could kill the card.

    Ah it's a 3x 8-pin, impressive. :)
Was wondering how it could take the extra voltage and then a increase to wattage too but if board partners can go all out like that it explains it.

EDIT: Hmm might explain the cap at ~2.8 Ghz for review results too if this is where even the 6900 GPU's are starting to lose effectiveness and while 3.0 Ghz is the cap unlike 2.8 on the 6800XT it might not be achievable by normal means if it needs that much extra power and the voltage to the GPU core too.

Again, really interesting and impressive results.

EDIT: Hmm and from the above posts there's again that little offset too in Wattman and how it's -50Mhz or so same as the Navi10 cards with the set speeds and where it would actually land.
(Retained when under clocked too I presume, AMD should just resolve that little oddity.)

Interesting, with 6800xt 1.09v i can bench port royal and boost around 2745mhz which is the ultimate limit for 6800xt.

Also what is your standart 3dmark score with default settings? Not familiar with hwbot scores and cannot judge how good is it sorry :)

default settings in 3dmark, Tessellation can be disabled in the driver for FS, FSE and FS ultra.(for +~8% GS)

official rules here: HWBOT 3DMark Fire Strike Ultra Benchmark Validation Regulations

~cant wait to get one in my hands & mod the GDDR6, GDDR5 timing mod gave 10% more bandwith and ~5% higher GS @The same clocks. (edit: for polaris /w micron mem)
gonna learn to solder too, for double the gains :D

Yeah, I watched the both parts of the this video, what he'd said is true though, great CPU and GPU....just can't buy them now (not preorders). Still, that full AMD rig he'd built kicks butt, both physical build and POWAH! My 3900X and MERC319 6900XT (when I get it that is) will never match that, but I guess I'll have to chug along with 'em.:p

Anyway, my plan is, to snag a 5950X sometime next year since my mobo support this last and best iteration of the AM4 platform (already flashed my BIOS to F31q, so it should have Ryzen 3 support). It'd be my only upgrade for next year as I plan to hold on to the 6900XT for two years, then IF I'm still around, I'd snag an RX8xxx card.

Wanted to ask a question about my system which might be related to new GPU. I am facing a unique issue where I have set my monitor to turn off after 25 minutes and when I turn it on by moving mouse, my clicks on browser or anything else don't work for 1-2 seconds then everything is fine. Was wondering if this is related to AMD card as I don't recall such a thing happening with my 2080 ti. Has anyone else faced or is facing such an issue?

That is bad. Mine has a little bit but then again I put my Fan curve to 100 for 80 C. So can't hear anything else, though I have to say AMD's cooler is not being praised as much as it should be. This runs cooler and quieter than expected.

Is there way to OC card beyond radeon software limits ? My R6800 easily maxed the software settings 2550Mhz core 2150Mhz memmory and it seems there is headroom left.
