You can never put anything on the desk if you make full use of the concept. Still, pretty cool.

I think its stupid without even looking at the price.
But that is me, plus its Razer. It will break in a year and 2 weeks after warranty.
    Over priced crap.

Razer continue to remain irrelevant in my life due to silly ideas and ruining potentially good products with stupid practices.
The last thing you want is a none upgradable PC, especially one that will cost a bomb if it goes wrong. (none upgradable due to either none availability or cost)
Having to buy a new TV because your PC doesnt work, not the best idea to buy into.

Changes/added features to the system are only dedicated Razer products with an appropriate price.
    ...
"At the heart of Project Sophia is a customized PCB fitted with cutting-edge core components, including the latest Intel processor and NVIDIA GPU to support the most resource-intensive tasks."
These wont be standard parts you can replace, they will be embedded.
Replacements, if available will cost a bomb and wont be anywhere near cutting edge.

You will no doubt have to remain logged in to a Razer server to use anything to its potential, even their mice force you to do this.
I could never recommend, there are far too many quality options already that will no doubt be cheaper, better, and wont tie you into an ecosystem.

The Razer software can auto switch between different mouse profiles without the need to do anything. So one profile for windows and another for games etc.

I gotta admit this is pretty cool, the intergrated touchscreens in the desktop for things like discord, twitch chats, streamlabs is actually a pretty nice idea.

However, it looks super thin so I think this is going to be using laptop components, look at the cooling in the centre of the table its basically a laptop heatsink with the two blower fans...

Also sitting this close to a 65" TV??? No thanks.

I sit that close to a 55", its less obstructive than you think. You dont really play anything full screen on such a setup, imagine it as 2x2 1080p screens next and on top of each other and the perspective changes. You can basically sit a bit off center and do 16:9(10) 1080p gaming with 3 free monitors or do what i do, play at some wanky resolution like 2816x1440 and fill up the rest of screen realestate with YT, discord or whatever.

Im not saying its "the shizz" but it has its merits, its pretty flexible and with a lil imagination you can make a lot of things work. Theres a lil shareware program that turns every game into borderless window that you can position at will (it has profiles and saves positions) so there isnt even a title bar on your games but there is one on your other apps etc. Also when you are done with gaming/work you can relax watching big screen video from the couch.

This Razer concept is kinda ok (if we dont look at their history of failures and prices) except its gonna be a closed concept. If your TV dies the only replacement that would fit will be a Razer one and its gonna cost like buying whole new thing. Highly integrated stuff is not what you want from a consumers perspective. Thats exactly why they are making it like so.

Concepts rarely make it to full scale production. If it does then there will be cost cutting changes.

Very true, I still like the idea behind the touch screens though. Just don't drop anything remotely heavy ontop of the table or you will have a smashingly bad time lol :p

I am at the stage of my life where I don't like things that are different or kids playing on my lawn.

Plastic would be better suited for the top of the table. Glass would be ideal but it would add to the weight.

Which button on the desk calls your mom to pick you up from nursery school?

NOW does everyone understand what I mean about the marketing departments for these companies being completely out of touch with gamers who have disposable income; when the people who have disposable income are not children?

I nearly bought a keyboard recently from Razer, and I got in touch with them directly via email to enquire how big the keys on the keyboard were, as, I do not want to have paragraphs full of typos due to the key being too small.

They replied with dimensions which I thought must've been for children. No joke.
