If you're a bit of age like yours truly, then you can remember the Commodore era, and games like Boulder Dash and Donkey Kong. A rare Nintendo Donkey Kong game sold for $9,000 at an internet auction... Rare Donkey Kong game fetches $9,000 at auction
i binned one of these about 4 years ago clearing out a house. i snapped it in half im feeling kind of stupid right now.
Funny, just yesterday I watched a video how these auctions are a scam and the prices are artificially inflated by the owners of the auctions.
EXACTLY. That Game & Watch is *not* worth 9k$. It's freaking inflated to make it look like it's valuable. And the video in question was Karl Jobst. Here:
I had the green one too, damn I enjoyed that game, I played hours on that and I think I managed to get a larger score than could be displayed on the screen or something, and it just rolled around to zero or something after that, or did it slow down to to the initial speed when you start a new game, can't remember.
I have a mint boxed ( the orange one ) Donkey Kong, with all the paper work that was included as new.
