Ram Timings or Ram Speed?

My memory is rated at 2400mhz ( HyperX Beast 8GBx2 2400Mhz )

2400MHz At 11- 13-14-32-2T

But I can do

2600MHz at 14 - 15 - 15 - 34 - 2T

Which is better getting lower timings at 2400MHZ or higher timings at 2500MHZ?

Tighter timings is always better

 

In ddr3 scenario those loose timings @2600 are too loose.

I can do cl11 @2600 and overall it still runs slower then native 2400 cl10 1t.


Aida64 bench showed 39GB/s read, write 41GB/s, copy 39 GB/s

Vs

36/37/36, but that's about it.

 

Ah so stick with the 2400mhz but tighten the timings?
