Anyone seen it yet ?
Looks interesting but I have no idea what i'm watching lol.
Is that a movie or a TV series? Either way....I'm in.
Maybe it's time Ridley retired
It looks like yet another tv show that will consist of:
1) Characters beginning scenes in which they explain what they are going to do in the next scene
2) Characters doing the thing they said they were going to do (and say) in the previous scene
3) Characters explaining what they just did and said in the previous scene to another character, and how it made them feel
4) Characters who just got told what other characters did and said in a previous scene, explaining to even newer characters what just happened, and, how it made them feel, and, how it reminded them of something that happened in another scene.
In other words, it looks like 'Westworld' after the first season ended and we ended up with the above 4 types of characters and character motivations.
I'm sure it will be 'high quality', but, with that it is also 'high-concept' in that, a Hollywood executive got the idea after doing a line off their desk.
I'll give it a shot when it airs, of course I will, but at this point in his career, I attribute it to an abusive relationship tbh - and the writers? Dear lord...these are not the androids you are looking for people, as all of their writing exists in a very similar vacuum to the story arcs as illustrated above.
Last chance Ridley. Last. Chance.
I guess, that I'll gain more by watching best movie from George Lucas for 6th time.
Spoiler: Make a guess before openning
This looks super interesting!
Seen first three episodes, can't say I already want to see more.
And come on, wait one week for every new episode?
I honestly prefer the weekly episode release method. Gives time to discuss the show at work.
All I know is I praise God every day for not letting Jodorowsky make his Dune
So you haven't heard? The Dune is based off a meeting DV had with J, where J explained the entire script he had written to DV.
Why would anyone made Dune based on someone else's ramblings about Dune. I had no idea they made Dune (2020)... jesus
I'm generally up for all things sci-fi but this look like yet another thing Hollywood thinks people want but no one actually cares about. Probably cancelled after season 2 so shall not waste my time with it.
Well, they did have a completed script, and "Jodorowsky's Dune" goes into much greater depth, I strongly recommend you find it and watch it sometime, very compelling viewing to see how hard someone was willing to jump through hoops to get this movie made, yet failed.
He failed DESPITE having enormous budget.
Of course I watched it. And was thoroughly impressed by his vision. Then I watched it again 2-3 years later and cracks begun to show. Cracks in his character, theatrics for the sake of theatrics(which I picked up from his movies in the meantime), megalomania and pretentiousness. And then I realized that the reason for being impressed in the first viewing was because of the great artists and experts he picked up. Not because of his masturbations.
Do you know that when he first pitched Dune to studio execs, he didn't even read Dune?
So guys, how you liking so far Raised by wolves after three episodes?
Idk but Dune 2020 is definitely not based on Jodorowsky's script, so i have no idea wtf he's talking about.
Loved it. I have no idea where they'd go for a second season but the world building is super interesting. I really like the characters - when Mother goes Necromancer mode it's both seemingly terrifying yet beautiful in a way.
Show could go to crap but the first 3 episodes were great imo.
I didn't think ti was. Sorry for hijack. Carry on
ep 4 and 5 are up.
