    Raise GPU Target Temperature

I have a Radeon R9 290. In the earlier drivers (13.12 for example) the target temperature for the GPU was set automatically to the highest setting (95°C). Now with the 14.x drivers I can't set it higher then 85°C anymore. So the GPU already starts throtlling at 85°C which I don't like. Is there a way to unlock the target temperature? So I can set it to 95°C again, like it was in the older drivers.

I could just use the 13.12 driver, which has the 95°C target temperature, but I don't want to miss out on the performance improvements of the newer drivers.

edit: Found the solution myself. For anyone who has the same problem and finds this thread: Update the card's bios. Seems like the older bios is not completely compatible with the newer drivers.
