nope, but i havent run any new windows updates. i am however having an issue where the uplay overlay wont open half the time, so i have to restart the game to form a party. thats kinda annoying. have you tried creating a shortcut to the executable itself, & running it as admin?
Are they ever going to fix sli for this game. I tried the other method and actually get lower frames than one card even though usage sits at 90+.
SLI works fine here. I've played with SLI disabled, and at 3440 x 1440, it is unplayable, with SLI enabled, it is fine.
I know the devs responded to someone who provided actual benches of SLI Titan-x's, and they said essentially, "yeah we know SLI scaling is terrible, and we are working on it."
How is the performance in general? I have heard people with 6700K/TitanZ averaging only 70 FPS at 1440p.
It runsvvery well on my Sager with a GTX 980m.... runs much worse on my main rig (in sig), even with Crossfire disabled it's more inconsistent.
I can only speak from my own experience and the game is unplayable at my native resolution with SLI disabled. I know the R6S profile was conflicting with the original R6 profile but I think that particular problem was fixed.
Wut, i get 70-100fps, FPS killer = Shader quality, i leave it at medium. High adds bump mapping etc, but you don't notice that anyway while playing.
performance is great for me 140fps and always above 100 all maxed out and the new ultra textures using TAA anti aliasing. I was using txaax2 but msaa (which txaa uses) has been bugged by either the last patch or nvidia drivers and now has some nasty ass white glowing lines around objects. TAA is fine though tbh.
You do realize that temporal filtering renders every other pixel in a grid pattern, then up scales it and applies msaa? So if temporal filtering is on (which it is for the ultra setting) you aren't rendering at 1440p you are actually rendering at 720p.
YOU do realise temporal filtering and TAA temporal anti aliasing are not the same? TAA is a post processes AA method and temporal filtering is as you said rendering at half res with 2msaa (which looks ****ing horrible) They are both different options.
Way to read an attitude into my post, that didn't exist. So you get nothing below 100 FPS at 1440p, without temporal filtering on? Nice. Every single benchmark I have seen so far (980ti and Titan-X) don't come close to having minimums like that. Which is why I assumed you had temporal filtering on. I apologize. You must have a pretty sweet overclock on that ti.
granted, im playing on med settings + FXAA (except low textures & temporal filtering, yuck), but im getting 50-60fps avg @19x10 yup, high adds relief mapping specifically! its incredibly taxing & given the settings hardly noticeable
Only setting that causes massive drops for me is msaa, even 2* causes huge drops outside no matter what map, maybe a bug or maybe the engine really doesn't like it. Yes TJ game is retail! Pretty good too if you can pick it up for a decent price.
The user base is growing, 17k peak today- that's just steam. Most people are playing via uplay without buying it on steam, so steam doesn't count them. Even though I suck, it is a blast. It's all I play anymore. Just be aware occasionally the servers are wonky (takes a while to join a game, or sticks loading, but it's not a game breaker...just leave and join a different one.) Read the Gaf forum thread on it, it's like 92 pages long. Game is a sleeper hit I think.
