i am thinking of buying a couple of harddrives now as i have not installed any before i am not sure what will happen. if i just fit them in, will windows or the bios try to format them.
just install them into the board. boot into windows. if youre using windows 7, go to start menu, and in the search bar, type in 'create and format hard disk partitions' (or just type in 'create partitions' and it will find it). find the raid drive, and you can format it here (or create partitions).
