I just wanted to keep the commands in mind for future games in case they are actually built into the engine.

 

There is no world map.

 

I changed the texture to 16k on my system just to test and had major stuttering, turned off gpu transcoding and everything is playing smooth, it also using my system memory for the video, total system memory when playing the game was 6gb

 

After everything I've read, I was reluctant about RAGE.

To my surprise though, It runs completely fine without any texture problems. (RAGE Driver, no tweaks.)

Figured I'd post something positive... Although, it does look pretty nasty at times. I think Aion has higher res textures.

Anyway, what "tweaks" would you all suggest I try/use?

 

Could someone do me a config please for maximum quality
on the system i have in sig please
best possible quality settings please and also do this // to let me know what i can have higher when a crossfire profile is released.

You dont have to do all that to install drivers. I have 3 GPUs running in CFX and I dont have problems with drivers. I am actually really happy with my system.

 

1 card is far more than enough to max out the game so don't worry that crossfire is not working. Here are my settings (vsync is disabled in it, enable it if it works for you), modify them to suit yourself:

I guess you didn't read what happened when I installed the drivers over each other and didn't wipe the previous ones. Long story short everything blew up. 15-45fps while moving as opposed to the 240-300 it can pull now if uncapped. I have every problem possible with drivers.

 

Make sure you force 8k texture size as the game never runs the textures at full res on its own.

 

I wonder why you have such issues. I dont have Rage installed so I wont comment anymore. Best of luck.

OK. WTF is wrong with dev's nowadays? Not even a damn v-sync option!!! how low can you go? also what the hell is that last option about the gpu.

Do the savegame work from a ''illigal copy'' for steam? Cause i just wanted to play till it unlocked in Holland.
So it's nothing i did wrong

 

My guess is that enabling it will use the GPGPU stuff (as in cuda) in your GPU to help calculating what textures to stream in.

I'm only about 10% into the game so far. I have no issues with textures or any other graphics problems, do these always appear or only at certain points later on in the game?

 

I would like to know if it's possible to launch your config from a startup line? I wouldn't mine getting my achievements.
If the console is active you don't get them.
Or am I to believe it will just load it at startup?

 

I haven't got my copy yet (ShopTo.net sent it on Wednesday so I guess it's the Royal Fails fault it didn't come yesterday) but I'm very surprised that id didn't include a v-sync option or at least set the game to use v-sync by default. Both console versions are v-synced and run at 60 fps. I know you can force it outside of the game or use the r_swapInterval 1 command but why make it so damn awkward for less knowledgeable people?
