Hey, I never went away so... :p

I'm fine, thanks for asking! RP isn't updated for about half year but something interesting came up a few days ago: FXAA through shader injection. I'm thinking of putting that feature into RP, I just need to see if I'm not breaching any copyrights since FXAA is an NVIDIA development.

Lol, then i was the one "away". :p
Nice to see you are fine! :D

    THIS!!!
    EPIC EPIC EPIC

I seriously don't play games if i don't have RPro doing something, anything.
I wish you luck with that. I don't think you will have legal problems.... but, it's nvidia, "GREEDY" as hell. LOL
But, seeing that "Some dude" (that's the guys name in forums) made an injector and works on every single card. I don't think you'll have a problem implementing this.

    Anyway, Good luck.

does it work on ATIs? i tried the nvidia FXAA injector beta9 and it made no difference in wow dx9 (apart from colors and other post-processing effects they introduce)

The idea of FXAA is similar to MLAA so no issues there.

The main issue is if you are using nvidia code? If you are re-writing shader code that mimics FXAA effects, then you are ok.

i read , and saw it at the developers blog, that the code was released to the public so everything points that it is safe to assume that it is ok to use it or it would still be locked up on Nvidia´s vault of secrets.

    here´s an article on that:

Thanks N3MBOT! FXAA 3 is public domain so there isn't any copyright issues.

btw, for your next update. The tool tips for "Texture Filtering Quality" slider are all wrong.

    Another bug:
When I switch to desktop(alt+tab) and return in game with forced vsync, the game is without vsync(more than 60fps). On all Cat versions :(

Awesome! It's not hard for me to copy the FXAA files to each of my DX9/DX10 games and press the hotkey, but having this in a Radeon Pro might be the one great reason for me to use it, automated.

Ah, FXAA values can be customized..a UI frontend to change settings could be great.

(Ah, I also think [Some_Body] is currently lost..someone ough to help him out with the UI and give credit. The other sect of people in 3Dcenter started making additional addon's using [Some_Body]'s DLL wrapper without giving much credit to him..or to the original intent on making the DLL wrapper in the first place. I mainly blame the GTA 4 group for hijacking it..)

+1... GUI interface to set FXAA quality level would be awesome.

If it's going to be included I hope it's not locked to be the sole filter when enabled, as in combining filters should be an option. I was sorely disappointed that RadeonPro didn't have the option to combine MSAA and SSAA like nVidia Inspector does.

Is this even possible within CCC? There is only MSAA from performance up to adaptive, then quality would force SSAA if forced? Or are you talking about applying narrow and wide tent filters on top of MSAA/SSAA which you can do in CCC and RP?

Why RP would do something the driver itself doesn't allow for?

No, there is no way to get it done on AMD cards currently. But at least now we can combine FXAA with other AA types manually with those files, better than nothing.
I was under the impression that it was the entire point? To do things that the AMD programmers didn't include in the CCC and to be able to force settings when it doesn't work through the CCC. The CCC doesn't even have profiles.

Would it be much work to include the option?

profiles arent locked down to the 'driver', that is, a capability of the dx or ogl dlls, they're just 'if gameX.exe is seen, enable optionY'

but if the driver is just not capable of something, how can any app get around that?

CCC is just a frontend, just like RP, neither are tied to specific driver versions & their capability (they can have an option for something new, but it wouldnt do anything when using an old driver for example)

btw japamd, i need you to answer this soon http://twitter.com/#!/kn00tcn/status/104017969063006208 i need to know what you're modifying so i can undo it or if you could do a minor update to fix that dialogue
