@japamd, could you please answer at least the 1st question? I agree the second is not strictly related to your tool but the first is :)

Really? That explains a lot, just need to know how to mess with a profile to make it happen.

BTW are you using the R build? If you are, is SMAA working without the gamma bug?

The driver queue some frames ahead of displaying them if your system is fast enough, yes. The default is 3 frames and can (?) be changed by setting Flip Queue Size value.

    Sarcasm too much? :D

I use Blur for most tests because it does start fast :nerd:

I think a profile is required, however I believe you can add profiles to the ambient occlusion XML list and thus have your own custom ones, might need to tinker with them to get the effect to work as intended though.
(Various flags or how it's set up, telling the program how to use the shader kinda.)

Sorry, my first question was different...

"Is there any difference between having DFC set to 60fps, and ticking Lock frame rate up to monitor’s refresh rate option?"

    Thanks again :)

I mentioned it in this thread a while back, you must have missed it.

I didnt try to delete them one-by-one to see if it was an individual profile, or the global, i just deleted them all.

In retrospect, that might have been a bad idea from a troubleshooting standpoint.

Perhaps someone who is still manifesting the flickering can zip up and send you their directory.

Im using the public release from last week (the one right before the one with the pipeline error fix), SMAA appears to be working fine.

The only gamma issue i have is with Divinity 2:Directors cut, but a alt-tab out and back in fixes it. Surprisingly unlike the old gamma bug, this one INCREASES the gamma to a washed out white mess. The old one decreased it to a dark black mess.

Ill install the latest R-series public beta and try a few more UE3 games (and witcher 2) tonight when i get home as they tended to manifest the bug most often.

Hello, thank you so much for the R series support! I'm using the R9 290x and will test this build out! Just sent you a donation for the continued support!

hahaha, I didn't mean I don't like Blur. I used to play it a lot, but not anymore. Though I always fire up it to test stuff :D

You might try copy other profile AO bits and change the depth buffer index.

If you're using a 60Hz display then no, they are the same thing.

    Ok, thank you.

You're welcome and thank you :)

Just spotted a bug in movie recording when processing threads option is set at automatic and a 6 core/12 thread CPU is in use. It's already fixed and I'll update the installer soon, replacing the 13/Mar/2013 build with this new one that includes AMD Radeon R Series support.

    Hi,

I am trying to use RP with BF4, the OSD and overdrive seem to work great but when I lock framerate to monitor refresh it keeps locking to 29FPS.

Even when I set to 60 in RP.

Got a few screens and a recording of the flickering issue, in case it would help in any way.

It only flickers on the first tab, down to SMAA dropdown menu.
    Screen 1
    Screen 2

Yeah, I had to use an old commit but didn't remember in what commit version that bug was fixed. Thanks for the heads up.

Check your display refresh rate reported by itself.

I had the same issue. I fixed it by using Dynamic Frame Control instead and setting it to 60FPS.

I also set my display refresh rate (in RP settings for BF4 profile) to 60Hz, although I don't know if that was necessary.

    Hope this helps! :)

so it doesn't seem to be the same option...? That was exactly the point of my question but japamd replied that DFC and lock to display's refresh are essentially the same option when using a 60Hz screen..

Disable Origin's in-game overlay and see if it works.
