FlipQueueSize in AMD driver by default for cs go is 1, FlipQueueSize by Nvidia can set value 1-5. My question, what is difference between 0 and 1, does it matter for cs go? P.S., I use CRT monitor.

i don't see flip queue being default 1 for csgo... when i change it to 1 the fps dips. when i fresh install drivers and remove the registry settings so it resets them with default, its 3.. i looked with a hex editor in all the amd driver files and i can't find a profile that is human readable. i do know thru testing that they do something strange to the flip queue. its not quite 3, its not 2... and 5 makes it slower fps wise then 3 does. leave it at default

    Wow!
Really appreciate your work on this, and everyone's input towards making it better.

Ran across this thread after googling "Radeon Crimson flip queue" and someone was nice enough to post a link here over on Reddit.

Just updated to Windows 10 today, and looking forward to playing around with RadeonMod.

Use RadeonMod "File - Backup Registry" and upload that. It'll be much smaller.

I'll add a larger range to the Info. Thanks.

To those having issues when downgrading drivers (Crimson to CCC), you might have to re-select the GPU afterwards.

Now it's ULPS On/Off toggling on Tweak tab which is not working anymore (RadeonMod 1.0.5). I don't know what happened. I had Catalyst 15.11.1 installed when it stopped working and now I have Radeon Software 16.1 WHQL installed, but it's still not working. Of course I click "Restart Driver" after toggling it on/off.

If you're wondering how I'm sure whether ULPS is on or not: I use EVGA PrecisionX or MSI Afterburner to check; when ULPS is on, GPU and Memory clocks graphs should read 0 MHz, which is not happening even after toggling ULPS On and restarting the driver.

Also try to use Sapphire Trixx ( in settings disable ULPS and restart, work fine for me at 16.1)

Thanks for the sggestion, but it's still not working. ULPS only works if I have it enabled and then shutdown or hibernate the notebook. When I turn it on again, ULPS is then on, and only at this moment.

If you haven't had a chance to use it yet. It should support your cards.

    Download/Extract/Run as Admin

There is an option to do a backup of your Radeon Registry Keys. An option to view Regular names of the driver settings instead of the registry names.

Only issue I have had so far in the week I have been using it. Is on Windows 10 the Restart Driver function acts like it tries to restart the driver, but the overclocking profile never loads and Radeon settings fails to load again.

So I just set the settings I want to change, mostly just Flip Queue, and reboot the comp.

Forgot to mention I am also on the Crimson 16.1 Beta Driver for Legacy cards.

Can anyone point out the settings which affect video playback?
As with Crimson you have less options, and i want to disable everything.
Like, denoise, better whites and whatnot.

I currently just have "Custom" in Crimson with everything Off and Brightness on 0.
But as i can't reach the other settings i am not really sure if they are on something or not.

A few questions if anyone can help, i am using 16.1 for non gnc on a sony laptop APU e350 & hd6310

CatalystAI sems to not be anywhere in the new crimson driver but radeon mod shows it listed as value 0x31000000 and CatalystAI_def as value 1 what do the values in the program represent? eg; what is disabled HQ and performance?

both cnext(Radeon settings) and ccc(Radeon additional settings) take a while to load and i remember a tool as part of ******s uninstaller that let you change the reg keys so that you can set the delay from 300(seconds) to 0(immediatley) does anyone have any ideas what the keys would be?

I have found preload delay and unload delay in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\AMD\CN

    and Delay in
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\ATI\ACE\Backup\Settings\CLI

and cccattached cccexit CCCQuiesce CCCReady RunTimeStart
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\ATI\ACE\Backup\Settings\MOM\Timers

    and finally Delay in
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\ATI\ACE\Settings\CLI

Cat AI is/was, for me at least, never visible in RS/CCC as long as I have this machine here, so two years. I believe this is for a good reason and I have played with this values but I do not recommend to do it.
As me, you have this long hex value in the settings for your primary card (apu) 0x31000000 and the value does not exist in the registry key of the discrete card I guess. I talked with theoneofgod lately saying that I believe the long value means the other card should use this value too, but I have no evidence., it's just a guess.
However, a bit more on topic:
Set this to 0x30000000 (0x3000 should work too) means 0, disabled. Really not the setting for you I think, because then you won't be able to use the secondary card for anything (3D at least). Still, if you set an .exe in advanced settings to use the 'high performance' adapter it will not with CatAI disabled.
0x32000000 would mean adv. CatAI. I've seen no benefit here.

AMD has certainly deprecated this setting (with very good reason). You need it to be on for multi GPU/switchable graphics and I read elsewhere that it contains fixes for certain games/applications. It makes sense to me, to drop this one, where noboty knows at the end what got tweaked. THere are better options for performance/quality compromises then this black box setting.

As for your load times. Did you cange something? Did it give you some positve result. I'm also disappointed by RS. AMD anounced it would be so much faster than CCC but the first start also takes ages here, just like CCC(or like opening the adv. settings)

Restart Driver doesn't work for me.

    R9 380.
    Neither Crimson nor Catalyst.
